There is no indication as to when any of the first of Eve's children were born. Both she and Adam knew that their first commandment was to "Replenish the earth". I have in mind that they would have done this as soon as they had constructed some form of accomodation for themselves and their offspring. We cannot say at what time this was done as up until then God had not given Adam his time period.
In the Bible average life span is how many years?
psalms 90:10 says 70 years and if for extra mightiness they are 80 years. that is the average.
This question is actually based on a philosophical misunderstanding. To be "God" presupposes that the Existence in question is uncreated. God therefore is outside of time and space, which are creatures. Since God is omnipresent and the source of all creation, all of time is always present to Him. This means that God sees everything simultaneously, like a moment, whereas we, who are subject to time and space, experience these things in a linear fashion. As a result, there was no "before" or "after" to God - God only sees things as now.
Why didn't God call the second day of creation good?
The firmament created on the second day was the vast empty space in which He later (on the 4th day) placed the stars, etc. This became the domain of Satan (2 Cor. 4:4, Eph. 2:2). When God sent Michael to minister to Daniel (Dan. 10:13), it took him 21 days to reach earth as Satan's forces resisted his mission. Therefore, God states in Job 15:15, "...the heavens are not clean in His sight."
- - - - -
In a sense, He did. At the end of the creative events in Genesis 1 v31, God said this:
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good
Something I learned a while back was that God did not call the second day good, because He was sad. When He crated the water above, He knew it was the mechanism for destroying the Earth with water and that He would one day need to do it.
- - - - -
Or, he did not call the second day good because "waters" is a symbol for "people" (see Rev. 17:15 "The waters you saw... are peoples, and multitudes and nations..."), and so to separate the waters above from the waters below would have been a picture of separating people above from people below, IOW, separating people into heaven and hell, something God is not pleased to have to do: "The Lord is... not desiring that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
What were the first things in creation God saw as good?
The first things described as good are, in this order: Light*
The separation of continents and oceans
The creation of plants.
(The light was not the same as that of the sun. Rather, it was light that God created before the sun, and which emanated from a point in space without any physical source; like what we might term a "white hole.")

Who do Intelligent Design people believe in?
The principal proponents of "Intelligent Design", such as the creationist Discovery Institute, claim that Intelligent Design is not a religious argument, and they are therefore neutral as to who the Designer actually is. In practice, virtually all proponents of this hypothesis are Christians. They therefore believe in the Abrahamic God, and seek to have people believe that Intelligent Design proves his existence.

Must Christians accept the Genesis account of the creation of the world?
Nothing is forced upon anyone - at least not yet. Each has free will to believe or not believe. It is that simple. A word of caution though, just because some sect or sects of the 'rainbow coalition of christianity' says something one way or the other, doesn't make it 'gospel.' We each are told to prove all things. Just read history and see how some Church ideas were way off base like the Earth being at the center of the Universe or the world was flat. Look and read about how misinterpretations of Scripture led to 'holy wars' killing thousands upon thousands. No interpretation of man is absolute as history proves. Scripture stands alone to be proven or disproven as best one can.
Answer:
Absolutely. Christians believe the Bible to be the inspired Word Of God. Because it was written so long ago, there are things that we, in the 21st century, may find difficult to understand. But our heart and spirit can grasp what God's heart and His Spirit tells us. Ancient Hebrew and Christian traditions say that Moses, guided by God, composed Genesis from ancient documents that were already in existence in his day. The Book of Genesis ends about 300 years before Moses. Moses could have received this information only by direct revelation from God. If Christians do not accept the Genesis account of creation, then the Bible is reduced to the level of other books. It is made into a human book pretending to be divine, rather than a divine book. Christians should utterly reject this view.
Has the biblical God of creation been proven as scientifically correct and how?
This is a question scientists and religious people have been debating for the longest time and both sides haven't come to an agreement. Honestly the way you believe is all based on your stance on God. If you believe in God then odds are you believe that God created the universe. If you don't believe in God then you probably believe the mainstream scientific on the creation of the universe.
I honestly believe that for the most part, the Biblical and scientific theories line up. God set in motion the Big Bang and then he fixed the things on earth in the time table that fits both science and the Bible. Many Christians say the Bible literally means the Bible says "The earth was made in 6 days." The word translated to day was the Hebrew word "Yom", but yom is a general term for any span of time, so instead of literal days, it could have meant in any frame of time. I know it doesn't exactly answer your question, but I hope it helps.
Who designed the way humans are supposed to look?
Fashion designers think women should be tall and flat chested with narrow, boyish hips. Cartoonists design very different looking people.
The common human form was not designed by any single person or entity--we are the product of environmental forces, and we come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. Our ancestral form was that of a miocene ape. Later varieties looked more like australopithecine. The earliest members of our species, Homo sapiens, appeared about two hundred thousand years ago. Quite recent, in geologic terms.
Of course, it is possible God orchestrated our evolution. No one can speak with unquestionable authority on this matter--not even me.
How do you think God's creation shows sovereignty?
One of the reasons why we see God as sovereign is because He created the universe. Having created it, it belongs to Him and He is its ruler.
How long did it take the Jewish God to make the world?
In one line: no one really knows even by the biblical account because of what is seen by many historically to be a gap of time between vs one and vs three where vs one is the original creation with a time frame not specified and vs 3 on (the seven day creation account) is the recreation, or renovation account of the cosmos and the ruined earth of Gen 1:2.
Also first let me ask: How old was Adam when he was created? Was Adam created as an unborn fetus? An infant? Or as a fully grown man physically and mentally, what would seem to make more sense from the account given? Adam was created with the "appearance" of age, as a fully grown matured man, even though he was "chronologically" "brand spanking new"! So, if you take this as a hint from scripture, then so also was the rest of creation created, with the appearance of age. There were not any "new" rocks made, fresh off the assembly line, or New waves of light, etc, the whole universe was created with the appearance of age, as a fully matured universe and earth at just the right age to be ideal for habitation.
This gap between the original creation Gen1:1 and the seven day creation account given in Gen 1:3-to the end of the chapter, is known by some as the gap theory, where gen1:2 describes a ruined Earth (that without going into allot of detail here) is the result of the rebellion and fall of Lucifer recorded elsewhere in Scripture that occurred at some time before the seven day creation account and the creation of man. This is not a concept universally accepted in Christianity, and today is probably a minority position, but it has been accepted historically throughout church history in some quaters, in some ancient church fathers writings and even by ancient Rabbi's etc., ,so this isn't "something new".
So regardless of how old a rock shows us a fossil is, or radiation decay, or even light reaching us from a distant part of the universe tells us, about the age of this earth or this universe, there is not contradiction between a universe with an obvious appearance of age and scripture, where the scripture themselves even hint at (with the example of Adam created as a fully grown man) a creation created with the appearance of age and full maturation.".
Why is Prophet Adam important in Islam?
Prophet Adam is very important in Islam, he was the first human created by Allah and through Awau (eve) the gave back to children, their children keep reproducing and that is how we are created.
What did Adam and Eve desire by eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?
After Adam and Eve had eaten of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil they became like gods (Genesis 3:22: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us..."), except that they were still mortal. They now realised that they were destined to die, but that by eating of the Tree of Life, which was also in the Garden of Eden, they would then also be immortal just like the gods.
God told Eve what she now already knew: that she would bear children in pain. And he told Adam what he now already knew: that he would one day die. Certainly God was angry, and cursed the ground. But it was so that they would not also eat of the Tree of Life, that he had no choice but to banish them and place cherubim and a flaming sword at the entrance of the Garden of Eden, to keep [block] the way to the Tree of Life (Genesis 3:24). Without the idyllic existence offered in the Garden of Eden, Adam would have to work all his days, to provide food.
The theory of evolution is just that - a theory it is far from a proven science. For something to be considered 'scientific,' it has to be measurable and reproducible. Since it is impossible to do either with evolution, it cannot be called scientific.
The science of evolution cannot explain where the material for the "big bang" came from, essentially evolution says something came from nothing.
The science of evolution does not consider that there is or could be a spiritual world it only deals with the material world.
How large would the world population be if God had not limited man's life?
No one can answer that question.
Originally, God did NOT limit man's life. Mankind was created 'very good' (perfect) in God's sight(Genesis 1:31), and had the prospect of living FOREVER(Genesis 2:16&17). Even with the hope of everlasting life, God's command for the earth was to 'FILL it' (Genesis 1:28), not to overflow it. Once that was accomplished, we would have to see what God would devise.
What is Lot's wife name in the Bible?
Lot's wife. According to old Jewish folk lore, Lot's wife's name was Ildeth (Edith).
Lots wifes name is not mentioned in the bible.
Edith
How many million years ago were Adam and Eve created?
There is no specific date as to when God created Adam and then Eve. At that time in the world there was no record kept that could determine a time frame. Some scientist (whom for the most part discredit God for creation) assume based on fossils it could have been millions of years ago, but there is no real way to tell. i don't care what scientific reason they give because how can anyone tell that something was a million years old based on fossilization when technically what research is able to confirm that theory. Fossils could easily be thousands of years old. Back to your question my theory is 6 thousand years ago and almost 7 thousand years. based on my bible studies and other studies i feel we are entering the 7 thousandth year, which from my belief is close to the time when Jesus Christ will return for His Church and the tribulation period will begin. I pray that you don't take my answer or anyone elses answers over Gods answers that are written in the Bible. If you have questions turn to the Scripture and it will be there. If you dont understand please email me cstewartets@yahoo.com and i will be more than happy to find your answers in the bible.
Read 2nd Peter Chapter 3 to understand there will be 3 reiterations of this earth
Then understand you are now in the second
Understand from that same scripture that one day with the Lord is as 1000 of mans years
Therefore in the book of Genesis you will discover 6 day (6000 years) or creation and a day of rest (7th day). This is the first week of this second earth age
The second week of this earth age begins with the man to till the soil being formed (of 6th day creation). He is formed after the 7th day of rest which would be on the 8th day.
6th day creation has replenished the earth as stated in Genesis 1:28 for 2000 years (2 days) before Adam is formed.
There will be a total of 2 weeks of 7 days each week (7000 years) accomplished in this 2nd of 3 earth ages. You are now on the 6th day of the second week. Christ will reign for 1day (1000 years) assumed to be the 7th day (as he returns at the 7th trumpet) - Revelation 20.
They assumed that the fact that two different names for God are used (Elohim & Yahweh), that this is must mean that Genesis is the fusing together of two ancient Canaanite religious traditions. However, this is not the only possible explanation, these names are used contextually as well (Elohim in certain contexts, and Yahweh is usually used in others), so it is not necessarily proof of two different textual traditions. Many scholars are backing away from these source theories as they are now often viewed as simplistic. Most conservative scholars believe that the text is what it is and is a unified book, the more liberal scholars would say that it likely did come from many different sources and religious traditions, but it is impossible to know with certainty how all of this took place. Many still disagree with these ideas, but both sides are slowly beginning to come to an agreement that regardless of your views on the origins of the texts, the best course of action is to study and appreciate the texts as we have them.
Where did Mahayana Buddhism originate from?
? Mahavira? originated in Kundagama, northern India ~600BC. He walked throughout north-east and central India renouncing worldly goods, teaching peace and spiritual truth, and led to a religion called Jainism.
Do you have to reject evolution to be a Christian?
I am not a Christian myself, but I don't think so. It is my understanding that some Christian groups (denominations) reject evolution, others not. While evolution is not supported in the Bible, it is more a matter of belief as it is not considered a sin to believe in evolution.
Another Answer:
IMO, yes you must as evolution teaches that God did not Create all as His Word the Bible tells us He did. Is God a liar? I don't think so. Is there any truth in evolution - perhaps on a micro-level but definitely no proofs on the macro-level even after all these years. Creation requires a Creator and Laws like 'biogenises, thermodynamics' cannot be said to be wrong and evolution only right. Laws require a lawgiver.
No. Quite a few Christians believe in evolution. Though the Bible says God created the world, it is what we should believe and as Christians many of us do. But some find it difficult to accept this. It does not mean you are not a Christian. Also, many Christians believe in Macro-evolution. Which is like when tadpoles evolve into frogs.
If everything has a cause and God caused everything then what caused God?
The current scientific theory for the beginning of our universe is called the Wave Function of the Universe, a theory developed by Stephen Hawking, Andre Vilenkin, Alex Linde and others. It says that it is 95 percent probable that a universe with our characteristics came into existence without a cause.
The theory is confirmed by observational evidence. It exactly predicted what the COBE satellite discovered about the irregularities of the background radiation in the universe.
Hawking supposes that there is a timeless space, a four-dimensional hypersphere, near the beginning of the universe. It is smaller than 10-33 centimetres in radius. Since it was timeless, it no more needed a cause than the timeless god of theism.
Contemporary scientific cosmology is not only not supported by any theistic theory, it is actually logically inconsistent with theism.
It has also been pointed out that a God capable of creating the universe would be more complex than the universe. Therefore a creator God would be more improbable than a universe without a God.
B (Hint)The perfectness of our creation and the whole universe's creation leads to the conclusion that our universe obeys constant laws, and not hazardous nor without a cause:
the sun rises every day, obeying constant laws, we never woke up one day and didn't find it there, or found it rising in night time, same as moon. Water on earth is constant, has a definite cycle, which we know well, it never deviated from that..
a hazardous being can't be so tidy, it is for sure missy.
If things come out of nothing, then why dont we find an extremely new creature or event coming out of nothing in our present days?
All events around us lead to the one conclusion that this universe has a ruler, created it and established its laws.
A divine being having such properties, is surely beyond our imagination or perception, and the laws He created, surely don't apply to him.
same as the fact that things we make or invent with own hands apply laws that are not applicable to us..
CThe question s itself. It is true that every thing has a cause. However, when reach the thing that has no cause then this last thing is created and the creator is God. God created the causes for every thing in the universe but He , as the creator, not caused by anything else. For example, Electricity is caused by electric generator rotation. The rotation is caused by steam turbine movement. Steam is caused by water heating. Heating is caused by, e.g., nuclear fission of uranium fuel, uranium fuel is caused by fabricating uranium. Uranium is caused by extraction from earth. Earth is caused by the splitting of the universe into heavens, earth, stars, etc. The universe is caused by what...etc.. until the last source that was created by God the Creator who was not caused by anything. However, A, explains a theory that assumes no cause for universe creation. This theory, whatever its arguments, is still theory that uses probability for its correctness and has no physical proof.Another proof for the existence of God the Creator. This is the scientific miracles in Quran, holy book of Islam religion. It is meant by the scientific miracles of Quran that Quran included lots of scientific statements that was only proved by the current state of art of science and information. These statements are considered as scientific miracles because of their revelation in the seventh century (Quran revelation started in year 610 AD) while those statements were possible to be validated only with the current state-of-art of knowledge, science and discoveries. If God, the Creator, is not existing how prophet Muhammad can get these scientific statements that mentioned in Quran and dealing with the origin of the universe, seas and rivers, deep seas and internal waves, clouds, mountains, embryonic developments, earth spherical shape, ...etc..
Simply put... no.
God is the First and ONLY God.

YHWH (Yahweh), the true God, HAD no beginning...he always was "...from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God" Psalms 90:2KJV
Equivalent to asking who was around before God. God is generally regarded as being "timeless" or "outside time" so discussion of this topic is a bit sophist. Remember, nobody understands "time" (eg what happened before the "big-bang?") so everyone is out of their depth on this one whether they admit it or not. Who, by thinking, can search out God?
One of the un able paradoxes of creation stories is that, while they attempt to the question of how the world was created, they raise the even more intriguing question of who made the creator. As a settled matter of philosophy, any creator capable of making the world must be even more complex than the world itself, and therefore even more improbable.
= = The question of "God" is not a religious question, but a philosophical one, although few abstract it from religion. The philosophical definition of God is an uncreated being. Put metaphysically, God is. He is actually pure simplicity having no parts, not being subject to time or space, unchangeable. What this means is that anything that would be, in fact, God would have to have always existed.
Metaphysics - i.e. "beyond the physics" - dictates that God's essence is His existence. This is a difficult concept to grasp since people think and exist in time. Creation implies a succession of events, linear thinking. Rather, the metaphysical existence of God is devoid of such complexity - God is a moment, and everything created is present to Him in that moment, like a wheel surrounding a hub - every spoke, every point on that wheel is immediately evident to the hub which holds it all together.
If God was created, it would imply He is subject to succession and thus his essence would not be to exist - it would mean He was not God in the philosophical sense but merely a spiritual manifestation participating in the existence and creative influence of another being. The act of existing is evidence enough - existence is not proper to any created being, hence vertical causality, that is, what allows anything to exist in this present moment, points back to a being to whom existence is proper and who can share that property with beings it decides to create, i.e. bring into existence.
God was created by his God who was created by his God (ect...) have you ever heard of eternity? wrong ^ in my opinion god doesn't exsist.. but however... most religious people say that he was just there... noone created god.. but hence i am not religious therefore it is just nonsense (:
D+Only the first God could cause GodLol!
He was of such Genius that only He could cause Himself! ... that is, as a physical power Omnipotent - all Glory in Heaven and in earth, only He could bring about His own perfect physical, glorious existence and presence. We have relied on Gods from the beginning - from one God to the next - eternal progression of the Gods, from one eternal round unto the next, and so forth - God upon God - Forever.
However, as Intelligences, we have ALL always existed, even the Gods. They then literally, gave birth to one another in the spiritual sense. In the physical sense, each God before us was born of literal 'earthly', parents, just as we - in each case
the first man was formed just as Adam - from the dust of the earth: each earth bore a Saviour, and each propective God passed from the 'oh-so-humble state of mortality, challenge and trial to the perfect state of Glory, Immortality and Victory.
Nobody, Nothing,
He states, in the Bible, He has always "been",
That he is alpha and omega, Which means the beginning and the end,
If you are confused of the , he states, That our simple mind could not, "comprehend it"
How are Christian ideas different from the scientific theories about the origin of the world?

8. What good, then, is religion? [pages 132-148]
"No one ever promised us a life free from pain and disappointment. The most anyone promised us was that we would not be alone in our pain, and that we would be able to draw upon a source outside ourselves for the strength and courage we would need to survive life's tragedies and life's unfairness." [page 133]
"I no longer hold God responsible for illnesses, accidents, and natural disasters, because I realize that I gain little and I lose so much when I blame God for those things. I can worship a God who hates suffering but cannot eliminate it, more easily than I can worship a God who chooses to make children suffer and die, for whatever exalted reason." [page 134]
"We could bear any burden if we thought there was a meaning to what we were doing. Have I made it harder for people to accept their illnesses, their misfortunes, their family tragedies by telling them that they are not sent by God as part of some master plan of His? Let me suggest that the bad things that happen to us in our lives do not have a meaning when they happen to us. They do not happen for any good reason which would cause us to accept them willingly. But we can give them a meaning." [pages 135-136]
"The facts of life and death are neutral. We, by our responses, give suffering either a positive or a negative meaning. Illnesses, accidents, human tragedies kill people. But they do not necessarily kill life or faith. If the death and suffering of someone we love makes us bitter, jealous, against all religion, and incapable of happiness, we turn the person who died into one of the 'devil's martyrs.' If suffering and death in someone close to us bring us to explore the limits of our capacity for strength and love and cheerfulness, if it leads us to discover sources of consolation we never knew before, then we make the person into a witness for the affirmation of life rather than its rejection." [page 138]
"God, who neither causes nor prevents tragedies, helps by inspiring people to help." [page 140]
"I firmly believe that [my son] Aaron served God's purposes, not be being sick or strange-looking (there was no reason why God should have wanted that), but by facing up so bravely to his illness and to the problems caused by his appearance. I know that his friends and schoolmates were affected by his courage and by the way he managed to live a full life despite his limitations. And I know that people who knew our family were moved to handle the difficult times of their own lives with more hope and courage when they saw our example. I take these as instances of God moving people here on earth to help other people in need." [page 141]
"When people who were not particularly strong become strong in the face of adversity, when people who tended to think only of themselves become unselfish and heroic in an emergency, I have to ask myself where they got these qualities which they would freely admit they did not have before. My answer is that this is one of the ways in which God helps us when we suffer beyond the limits of our own strength." [page 142]
"Our responding to life's unfairness with sympathy and with righteous indignation, God's compassion and God's anger working through us, may be the surest proof of all of God's reality." [pages 142-143]
"Religion alone can affirm the afflicted person's sense of self-worth. Science can describe what has happened to a person; only religion can call it a tragedy. Only the voice of religion, when it frees itself from the need to defend and justify God for all that happens, can say to the afflicted person, 'You are a good person, and you deserve better. Let me come and sit with you so that you will know that you are not alone.'" [page 143]
Sorry, I just realized the above post doesn't give a clear and direct answer to your question, my speed reading needs fine tuning (smile), but it does touch a little on the subject.

Because science is based on Natural laws, while god is on supernatural.
CommentIt is a common misconception that Christians ignore the evidence provided by science and then invoke a 'God of the gaps' to account for anything they cannot explain. In fact it was the Christian belief in an orderly Universe based on Natural Laws put there by an all-wise creator that spawned modern science as opposed to superstition. Belief in a supernatural all-powerful deity is not necessarily in conflict with the world that exists. It is in conflict with an anti-supernatural world view which have a set of presuppositions which are put forward as scientific.
A Summary of Some Differences Between Christian and Naturalistic Views on OriginsChristian : God all-powerful (almighty) eternal and all-wise Creator.
Evolutionary: God is irrelevant if He exists at all. Only a naturalistic (non-supernatural) explanation of origins allowed.
Christian: God made universe and living things etc in 7 literal 24 hour days. this occurred about 6000 years ago and was ex nihilo (from nothing).
Evolutionary: Universe made itself (ex nihilo) from a speck of matter which exploded from a quantum fluctuation in a vacuum and eventually expanded into all that is about 13.7 Billion years ago.
Christian : Creation in Genesis in harmony with Laws of BioGenesis, the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics and Genetics, as well as much data (even data discovered by evolutionists).
Evolutionary: Violates all three above Laws of Science (these have no known observable exception). Big Bang and Steady State theories attempt to get around this.
Christian: Races of people do not exist as a biological fact. The idea of different nations of men but not Race is taught. Men are all of one blood. Acts 17 v 26. Human Genome project has confirmed the essential unity on mankind because all descended from same stock - the intelligent couple Adam and his wife Eve. External differences are not genetically significant.
Evolutionary: Different Races of mankind exist some being more highly evolved than others who are closer to their common ancestry in an ape-like creature. This idea not justified by modern genetics.
Christian: Biblical teaching contained in Genesis 1 through 11 and elsewhere remains unchanged over 3500 years.
Evolutionary: Requires constant modification and rejection of false and fraudulent arguments used to support it. Various forms of the theory have sought to get around the scientific problems.
Another View:
Answer:Christian origin idea are based on the poems that tell about creation, one in Genesis 1, another in Genesis 2, and a third in Job 38. Just like the Babylonian origin ideas came from their poem of creation Enuma Elish, like the Greek origin ideas came from Hesiod's Cosmogony and the HIndu creation ideas came from their poem Rig Veda.
Scientific theories don't come from a religious poem, but from observing nature.
Christain ideas stem from the revelations given in the bible. They then try to fit what is observed into their religious framework.
Scientific ideas are based on observation and experiments, the frameworks are temporary and are continually being changed or improved.
Because science is based on Natural laws, while god is on supernatural.
If God created angels to worship Him why did he create man?
to take care of the animals
Answer:
God didn't create angels just to worship Him.
"Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Heb.1:14 KJV)
The New International Version says it this way: "...Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"
God created the angels to help men achieve salvation. - (eternal life).
Man was made to be born into God's growing family. Over and over God calls man His children. God's plan is to "reproduce Himself"... and man has been "fruitful and multiplying" from the beginning... just as God commanded him.
"...So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply..." (Gen.1:27-28).
Sometimes the wording of the Bible seems too simple for man to comprehend... too simple for him to grasp. Yet the Truth is there for anyone with the eyes to see it:
"The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD: and if children, then HEIRS; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together." (Rom.8:16-17).
And the angels were created to help man's character growth and development (spiritual knowledge, wisdom and understanding of God's Word) to become members of God's family. But man hasn't inherited yet... he is only now an "heir."
"Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father." (Gal.4:1-2)
The angels were created to "serve" (tutor and govern) God's begotten children (His heirs) until their "appointed time" to obtain their inheritance.
"...one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? Or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou hast made him a LITTLE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS (as an heir is beneath his servants until his appointed time); thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and did set him over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet." (Heb.2:6-8)
"...when the fulness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive THE ADOPTION OF SONS. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ." (Gal.4:4-7)
Men are not yet "inheritors"... but still "heirs"... under the mentoring of angels sent from Christ to minister to God's heirs of salvation.
"...For in that He putteth all in subjection under him (man), He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see NOT YET all things put under him..." (Heb.2:8).
All things must include the "universe." Yet, man is still "earth-bound" and not yet able to subdue and conquer the stars. Man is still an "heir"... not an "inheritor."
"...But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became Him, for whom are all things (the universe), and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren (brothers)." (Heb.2:9-11)
Angels are the "mentors" (tutors and governors) of God's heirs - man.
Where does the Bible say how old the earth is?
If the Bible did give us the age of the earth in thousands of years like this, it would of course be completely wrong. As it is, only the time that humans and other living creatures have been on earth is wrong, because there is no literal information in the Bible about the age of the earth.
