Is the sandy hook story true?

Yes...it was. I don't live in Connecticut, although it was all over the news. Most things on the news is most likely right.

If you don't know what happened:

* A "guy" went in the school and was shooting kids from Kindergarten to 4th grade. Teachers were also shot too. Adults kept kids safe. One little girl pretended to be dead when the shooter came in the classroom, she put blood on herself. (This is all the information I know, it may not be accurate, so you can look it up)

What are the disadvantages of cyber crime law in the Philippines?

The help that the cyber crime law can give is so little against the danger it can cause, Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares.

Colmenares said the insertion of the provisions of libel into the new law is among the things that poses danger to all internet and social media users.

Under the present law, a person found printing or uttering libelous words against another person may be meted 4 to 6 years imprisonment while under the Cybercrime bill, those who post libelous comments through blogs and social media may be imprisoned for at least 12 years, he said.

Colmenares added that under the present law, a person can file libel charges against another person in the area where he or she had read the printed material or heard derogatory statements against him or her. It was not however, clarified if that will also be applicable to cyber crimes.

Another disadvantage of the cyber crime bill is that the National Bureau of Investigation, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or other intelligence units can get access to a person's social network accounts and email contents, he said.

Colmenares admitted that they were not able to scrutinize the cyber crime bill well before it was passed Congress because of the bulk of resolutions they needed to attend to.

Aside from libelous statements posted in Internet blogs and social networks, the cybercrime law also aims to put a stop to cybersex, child pornography, cybersquatting, identity theft and unsolicited commercial communications.

As to the freedom of information bill, Colmenares said they are going to discuss its passage before Congress in a committee hearing on October 21.

He said he is optimistic that the bill will be passed before the year ends.

Wife applying for a security clearance job and husband has a felony?

Cannot be answered here. Every agency or company that employs security cleared personnel has their own criteria for the position. The best that can be said is that it MAY have an effect on her ability to be cleared.

What does it mean to say that a crime has been cleared?

By its solution. A crime is only "open" unless it cannot be proven who it was that committed it.

Is it legal to carry a sword in Tennessee?

Tennessee state law makes it unlawful to carry any blade of more than 4 inches with the "intent to go armed" (§39-17-1307, this also covers guns and clubs). This last part makes it legal to carry swords for activities in which the weapon is not actually intended to be used for "offense or defense" as in recreation events, sales, displays, collections and theatrics and to and from said events. Note that if you act in an indecent or unlawful manner you may have other statutes ruled against you.

What happens to your physical evidence if your case is dropped?

Just that, its dropped. There is no evidence to prove the defendant is guilty, therefore he or she cannot be convicted.

Another View: It is not that simple! It is important to know what you mean by "dropped."

If the case was Nolle Prosse'd by the prosecutor then it has truly 'gone away,' the state has decided not to prosecute you.

However if the case was "Dismissed" by the court it is important to know HOW it was dismissed (i.e.: WITH Prejudice or WITHOUT Prejudice).

WITH prejudice means that the same charge cannot be brought against you again (for the same event) - and that is the end of the case.

If it was dismissed WITHOUT prejudice, it means that the prosecutor could file it against you again.

What was the crime that led to the start of world war 1?

No military action led to the start of WW1; the catalyst to WW1 was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, the archduke of Austria-Hungary. How is social class related to the potential to be involved in the criminal justice system?

Yes - absolutely. SES (socio-economic status) is a factor that contributes to whether or not someone may develop criminal behaviors. The social environment that is around you influences how you see the world and what you see as acceptable. Someone growing up in Compton is going to have a different set of social expectations than someone from Beverly Hills. However, psychopathy (psychopaths have no conscience and are not the garden-variety criminal) doesn't seem to be tied to SES.

What is the worst crime to commit?

With due respect...the WORLD'S WORST CRIMES are in this order- Slavery, Holocaust & Apartheid. (a) The act of forcibly taking someone from his continent for the purpose of enslavement. (b) The act of removing a whole generation for the purpose of extinction and (c) imprisonment, harassment, dehumanizing of an entire nation with the intent to dominate, control and enslave and ultimately forcing some to leave under duress.

My friends, these are the world's worst crimes. Footnotes would be world war 1 & 2 and some genocides within our lifetime.

United States Government killing millions of American Indians, starving them to death by wiping out there major food source the buffalo, shooting and killing Indian men, woman, and children, giving them blankets with small pox, and rooten meat to eat so they would die of diarhea, and vomiting. Kicking them out of there home. Telling them they can no longer living the way they would like to. Could you imagine me taking you from your home telling you how to dress were to live and if you don' do it I shoot you these were the lucky ones.

Good'ish answer, but I dont agree, i'd say murder?

Should law according to justice or justice according to law?

Justice is the concept that imagines a situation in which everyone gets what they deserve, whether they like it or not.

Law is the concept that certain behaviors can be forbidden or compelled by one authority, howsoever derived, that covers the people within a specific geographic area.

Example:

A man is fired from his workplace because he refused to let his boss sleep with his wife. He then sees his baby starving and steals a quart of milk from the boss.

Justice would dictate that he not be punished and that the boss not only reinstate him, but suffer penalty for creating the situation in the first place.

Law would dictate that the man who stole the milk be punished, and that the boss receive compensation for his loss. The baby in this scenario may continue to starve.
