To adjust Jake brakes on a Cummins ISX, first ensure the engine is turned off and cool. Locate the Jake brake actuator and check the adjustment screws; typically, there are two, one for each bank of cylinders. Adjust them according to the manufacturer's specifications, usually found in the service manual, ensuring that the travel of the Jake brake lever is adequate for proper operation. After adjustments, test the brakes to confirm they engage and release smoothly.

In a 2003 Dodge Intrepid, the junction box is located under the dashboard on the driver's side. Specifically, it can be found to the left of the steering column, near the brake pedal. You'll need to remove the cover panel to access the fuses and relays within the junction box.

That Dodge engine does not use a mass air flow sensor.

If you follow the lower radiator hose, it connects to a pipe on the engine block. Follow that pipe and it goes towards the rear of the motor (about 8 inches) and turns left into the block. There are bolts there that need to be removed that hold the housing in. The thermostat is there. Hard to get to....good luck.

The low pressure port of the A/C system usually has a blue or black dust cap and is located either on the larger diameter metal tubing typically found between the evaporator and compressor, on the compressor itself, or on the receiver drier (orifice tube systems only). The high pressure service port is found either on the smaller diameter tubing or the compressor and is larger in diameter. Only charge through the low pressure port.

Start and hand tighten every other 1 then do the rest the same way. tighten to 165 inch/lbs. or 19 NM witchever you have. Be sure to do every other 1 then once your all the way around to where you started do the rest of them.

12 quarts for the 2004 common rail diesel. i use delo 400 in mine (2004 dodge 2500 diesel quad cab short bed, converted to run on straight veggie oil) and highly suggest you do the same. it will greatly increase the quality and quantity of the life of your truck.

I just had to deal with this myself... you need to remove the seat (there is a hex bolt on each side at the front under the seat... be careful not to lose any washers or spacers when removing these bolts!) Once the 2 hex bolts are removed, pull up slightly on the front of the seat and slide forward to remove. On the right side about half way back you will see the fuse assembly which is a black rubber cube with a black wire half-loop extending out of the back. This assembly will be attached to the frame through a slot that a flat metal bar is slipped through. If you slip the rubber latches off each side of the assembly, you can pull the back cover off and you will see the main fuse (on the right) and a spare fuse (on the left).

For the 400 watt max power motor, the stock fuse on the Oster, two speed, 4094 is 8amp 250v (not sure if it's a slow of fast burn). After recently blowing my fuse, ran down to Radio Shack and got a replacement. Upgraded the connection by buying a fuse holder and soldered the connections. Works perfectly.

It may not blow, but it will turn twice as fast and burn out very quickly. It is meant for 110 only. Check the sump pump. Some of them can be wired either 120v or 240v. If yours is like that, just wire the motor for 240v and plug it in.

well a p0138 is an o2 sensor problem and as for the P0455 the evap system has a very large leak over 40 microns and it may need a fuel cap the P0442 and the P0455 usually go together one is the cause of another

On my 2002 T&C the fuse box is located under the hood, drivers side ,under a cover marked IPM FUSE & RELAY CENTER open the cover with your fingers. There is a diagram under the cover with location of the fuses . My power outlets have the old style , flat, push pin fuse , yours might be a different style . Also you can make the ignition outlet hot all the time by moving the fuse over one hole . Its marked

Most vehicles have a factory sticker under the hood showing this. If not, try checking the owner's manual, or contact a dealer service department. They should be able to provide a photo copy of this...usually for free.

Look for an intake manifold plenum gasket leak. This causes engine oil to be sucked into the intake. Useually a ping under load will be present. Check to see if a vacume is prisent in the crankcase at idle. Do this test by removing the pcv vale on the pasenger side of the engine pluging the hole in the valve cover and installing a vacume-pressure gauge to the hose connected to the air cleaner on the driver side. If a vacume present gasket is bad. If there is positive pressure present it's ok. If you don't have the gauge you can use your finger to cover the hose on the driver side for a couple of seconds to detect the vacume or pressure. The gauge is by far the better way to go. I found the price to have this work done was around 750.00 at general auto repair shops and 1,000.00 at the dealer. If you go to a auto repair shop I would suggest that you still use dealer parts. They have a repair kit that has new gasket and bolts included. I think you can get a new replacement pan made of aluminum as well to replace the old tin one. If you havent done a tune-up lately its the perfect time to get to the distributor. Good luck

Possibly a plugged (internally or externally) radiator. your A/C condensor is located in front of your radiator, and generates alot of heat of its own, when you turn on the A/C, your putting that heat directly through the cooling system. the radiator and coolant cant circulate fast enough to cool properly. when you turn off the A/C, incomming air flow cools just enough to bring your water temp down.

You could supercharge it, get a cold-air induction system, turbocharge it, different transmission,higher octane gas, change the mufflers, put on headers, watch an upgrading special on the Speed channel or other auto channel and many other performance enhancing upgrades. There are many magazines and websites that sell parts to upgrade, such as Jegs.
