I can honestly say that I have only heard of one way to tell if a German Shepherd is purebred. This feature has helped me in the long-run because I have been with a lot of Gernan Shepherds. You can always tell the German Shepherd is purebred if they have a bump on their snout. Both of my German Shepherds have that. Now I also have a German Shepherd/Belgian Tuevern mix. On her, she has no bump whatsoever. But, I know she would not have a bump because of her mutt-mix. But if I did not know her bloodlines, I would have figured that she is not purebred.

If your puppy is running a fever do NOT give them any human medication. The animal needs to be seen by a vet ASAP! Very few human medications are safe for dogs. And if they are safe it is in a much smaller dosage than what we have. A fever is an indication of an infection and in a puppy any illness can turn critical very quickly! Please have your animal seen! Sorry I can't give you a quick fix for the problem, but I work critical care at a vets office and I promise you that it is important to determine WHAT is causing the fever than just treat it!
