Does methadone cancel out the effects of oxycodone?
methadone is a very strong version of Oxycontin. it's used to help people having withrdrawals from Oxycontin and heroin so it's an extremely strong version of it. i don't recommend mixing the two because methadone is basically the equivalent of 160 mgs of Oxycontin.
Can you take doxycycline and phentermine at the same time?
(Sorry, I submitted this answer while wasn't signed in-I'm cmasjy) Trust me, I learned the hard way this morning! I was prescribed Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg to treat acne. I use Phentermine 37.5 tabs off and on to suppress cravings. On my Doxycycline directions, it states that it works best when taken on an empty stomach for effectiveness. The Phentermine usually gives an option to take 1 hour before or after breakfast, which I usually take before. Well, I decided to take them both @ the same time today (approxiamately 5 minutes apart) and began to feel nauseous after 1 minute. This in turn lead to an abrupt "bathroom break", which was short-lived, because that nausea quickly turned into vomiting, so I had to get up and run to the sink lol. After my untimely episodes, I ran to read the drug interactions on the Doxycycline print out and it states: " Take this medication 2-3 hours before or after taking any medications containing magnesium, aluminum, calcium, iron, or zinc..." I read the Phentermine ingredients online and it does contain Magnesium Stearate and aluminum in one of the ingredients used to make the color. Note: I have taken these prescriptions on the same day before, but hours apart, so that's why I didn't see any harm in taking them together and I was WRONG! This is coming from a Certified Medical Assistant, so even those in the medical field make slow moves lol. You should be fine if you allow 2-3 hours to lapse between the two. Remember to always read the drug interactions & ingredients on all medications. Usually your healthcare provider will let you know if there's a possibility of drug interaction with multiple rx's. I hope this helped you.

Are there problems with Strattera and Lexapro taken together?
1. Seizures w/Valproic 2. Sleep Disorder w/Benadryl
Now we find ourselves with a seizure-free, full-night sleeping child that has a 5-10 second attention span. I'll let you know how the Strattera works.
you must be the one to sound the alarm! If your doctor dismisses your concerns, you
are wise to get a second opinion...or third, fourth...whatever it takes until you and
your child are satisfied. Most physicians want happy patients and caregivers. They are human and can only make determinations based on the limited information they have when deciding what may work. Many times, it is "trial and error." Until optimal
dosage(s) and choices of medication(s) are reached, the control issues are difficult
for the family as well as the physician. Keep really good records: make a log of your
observations of your child (including teachers' and others' observations) and how the
symptoms relate to the time of day, how long after administration of the medication,
and your own personal rating scale. Your intuition and "red flag alarms" need to be
trusted. The more objective data you can offer to the physician by phone and during
office visits, the faster you will get the results you need. When others comment about the direction you have chosen for your child, whether "natural" or with FDA approved medications, remember that you are the boss and you "know best." Then, give their criticisms the few minutes they deserve and forget about them. They do not walk in your shoes. Any time you or your children experience a side effect from any medication, you are encouraged to call the FDA at: 1-800-FDA-1088.
Concerta is a central nervous stimulant which affects chemicals in the brain that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. Concerta is used to treat ADHD. Concerta is a brand-name for extended release methylphenidate. Methylphenidate is a controlled substance in most countries and is only dispensed under the authorization of a doctor.
Methylphenidate works by increasing two chemicals in the brain: dopamine and norepinephrine. Both chemicals play a role in focus and attention, and by raising these levels methylphenidate is able to help a person concentrate and sit still for longer periods of time.
Concerta comes in several extended release doses: 18, 27, 36, and 54 osmotic controlled release capsules.

Can you drink alcohol and take cyclobenzaprine 600mg together?
I recently injured my lower back and was told by my doctor to take 600 mg of ibuprofen three times a day along with a prescribed 10 mg of cyclobenzaprine. After 4 days of following this routine, my friends invited me to go out for a drink one night. Fearing that drinking alcohol and taking the amount of medication prescribed might cause adverse effects, I called up my pharmacist and ask him if it was possible to have alcohol while taking my meds.
I told him that that morning I had taken 600 mg of ibuprofen and asked whether it was ok to take 10 mg of cyclobenzaprine. He laughed and told me that one night of drinking alcohol was not going to effect me. He also told me that I might get plastered much quicker than I normally would, but it wouldn't hurt me. Basically, he explained that 10 mg of cyclobenzaprine would pretty much double the alcoholic effects of one beer on my system; therefore, he advised that I not over do it, and drink half of what I normally do. Other than that, he said it would be fine and it wouldn't kill me (which I was afraid it might do; I'm a semi-phobic about taking any drugs what so ever).
Just know your limit and try not to binge drink. This drug follows the "too much of a good thing, is a bad thing" rule.

Can you smoke marijuana if you are currently taking isoniazid and b6?
smoking marijuana have an effect with me taking Rifampin?
if you are an adult (18+) they (adults who disagree with your choices and health care people) can say you do not have the ability to take care of yourself because you are not making healthy choices- this can lead to you being givin a guardian and being unable to make decisions legally without the guardians consent. if you get caught and are asked if you would attend treatment it is best if you want to keep your ability to be a self consenting adult that you say yes and let them sign you up even if you beleive youll use when you get out you still made a decision that they see as able to care for self and future rationally thus making it more likely they will not say you are mentally unstable an unable to care for self- which sometimes they say during a behavioral health assessment if you have used drugs in the past even if you dont have prior mental health problems.
Is it safe to take Tylenol with codeine and oxycodone together?
If you were prescribed codeine by two different doctors, then you should ask a pharmacist or one of the doctors first before taking both of them. If the second doctor that prescribed the codeine to you doesn't know you're already taking it, then him prescribing it to you was an error. Taking two types of codeine together is effectively taking a larger dose. Taking too large of a dose of powerful drugs like codeine is dangerous.
On the other hand, if a single doctor prescribed both to you, and told you to take both of them, then you probably should.

What term is given to drugs that kill brain cells?
Marijuana, LSD, shrooms, alcohol, salvia, breathing gasoline, ectasy, breathing bad air, holding your breath too long, sniffing paint,
To add to this and correct, For the record, marijuana does NOT kill brain cells. All studies done have shown no proof of it in any manner effecting your brain, the worst brain damage you could incur would be a lessening of short term memory, that's it.
Can you mix citalopram with escitalopram?
At therapeutic levels it is a relatively safe combination. Both drugs have multiple paths of metabolism so the ones that they have in common aren't too big of a deal. However! There are people with certain genotypes that have to potential to be extremely sensitive to escitalopram and other SSRIs. In this case, the combination could be potentially fatal. If you have been taking escitalopram for at least 6 weeks then its entire effects should be present, and you'll have a good idea of whether or not you're in that rare situation. If that is the case, you'll most likely have significant side effects and may need to consider other options for depression or anxiety treatment. In any case, make sure each prescribing doctor is aware of the combination, time of administration, and dosage.
Also, at high doses experiments have found that this combination changes gene expression in a way similar to cocaine. So you probably won't want to make this a long term plan. Sorry I can't find the links to these studies, but I assure you they come from legitimate sources. I have a neuropharmacology obsession.

Can you take Concerta and oxycodone?
Together it is considered a "fine" buzz,
most consider it there favorite combination to mix with concerta.
Always realize a substance increaseing heart rate and one decreaseing heart rate, can be obviously dangerous, therefor keep in mind everyone reacts differently to drugs, and if you feel this combination to interact with you negatively in certain conditions, i'd suggest to stop use.
Can you take excedrin and Darvocet together?
You should NOT, ever take these medications together. There is absolutely no need for anyone to take two narcotics together. Darvocet is used for mild to moderate pain, Percocet is used for moderate to severe pain. They are not prescribed together for a reason. Because these medications are both narcotics, their effects will stack. It is an extremely bad idea to mix narcotics. If you are taking Percocet for pain, and it doesn't seem to be enough, it is time to talk to your doctor. No doctor would condone the use of these medications together. Yes you can use them together. They both are mild and contain Tylenol and will stop your pain. However, as with any drug, use as prescribed. Never take more than indicated.
Can you take and antidepressant while on suboxone?
"Yes. Antibiotics, in general, are not contraindicated in those taking opioid based medications. (Just make sure that you have not previously had an allergy to the particular antibiotic being described.) As always, check with your prescribing physician first.
This is completely wrong. Please do not take this single and uneducated answer as carte blanche to take them freely together.
Sourcing directly from the leaflet that comes with a Suboxone 8/2 prescription I will relay a passage that should be of use to you:
Some products may interact with this medication include
narcotic antagonists (such as baktrexibe), certain narcotic
pain medications (mixed narcotic agonist-antagonist such as
butorphanol, nalbuphine, pentazocine [, buprenorphine.])
Other medications can affect the removal of buprenorphine
from your body, which may affect how buprenorphine works...
Examples include azole antifungals (e.g. ketoconazole), HIV
medications..., marcolide antibiotics(such as erythomycin),
rifamycins (e.g. rifabutib), St. John's wort, drugs used to treat seizures (e.g. carbamazepine, phenytoin), among others. The
risk of serious side effects (slow/shallow breathing, severe
drowsiness, dizziniess) may be increased if this medication is taken with other products that may also affect breathing or
cause drowsiness...[anxiety medications: benzodiazepines,
primarily, including Xanax (alprazolam), Klonopin
(clonazepam), Valium (diazepam), anti-seizure drugs,
sleeping aids, or narcotics (hydrocodone/oxycodone), and
psychiatric medicines (such as risperidone, amitriptyline,
trazadone).
Please folks, use extreme caution... Cipro is not just some antibiotic like Amoxicillin... These drugs are quinolone antibiotics and they are essentially a poison, without getting too technical. They prevent the bacteria from replicating their DNA. I had a terrible experience taking just one tablet in conjunction with no other drugs or interactive foods; it is a miracle for some, though!
