Yes, there is very little monogamy amongst mallards. But in my neighborhood we have three mated, yes mated, mallard couples who return every year to raise families. The males are fiercly protective over their wives. As a matter of fact, one couple arrived at their summer pond yesterday where the female was consistantly dogged by another male trying to woo her. Her husband was not having it. He blocked his advance at every turn, they had long, fast chases around the pond where at one point he drove his competator out of the water and chased him on foot along the shore. She is a sweet hen and he treats her like a queen.

Yes, if you have enough patience.
Chickens and ducks can easily be trained to come when called. Simply call them before you feed them. If they are all hungry and waiting, still call them. They will associate this call with food, and come running whenever they hear it.
As for tricks, I've had alot of pet chickens and never had any luck with tricks. You can get to where you understand each other pretty well, they will come when you call, jump up on your lap, etc. But tricks are pretty hard.

For home incubation, fertile eggs are collected over a maximum of 7 days and stored in a humid cool area. Once enough eggs are collected they are deposited into the incubator and remain at a constant 100.5 degrees F and a humidity of at least 58% to 65%. Turn the eggs every 12 hours or obtain an auto turning device. On day 18, humidity should be increased to 65%. The first egg should hatch on day 21 and it may take a full 24 hours to completely hatch all the eggs. Leave the new hatchlings among those not yet peeped as all the chicks need to be dry, warm and kept together to prevent pecking later in the brooder box.
