Can a woman carry her unborn baby inside her tubes without it affecting the baby or her?
A baby can survive in the tube but usually only 5 to 6 months. The tube can stretch. I am a nurse and know of one incident where the baby lived. But the tube has to be removed after the baby is removed. And yes, it is a painful pregnancy.
No, the baby does not develop normally, it can rupture the tubes causing internal bleeding and kill the mother. If this is happening to you, you must see a doctor and get it sorted ASAP. I had an ectopic pregnancy (baby grew in the tubes) and it nearly killed me! I had to have my tube and baby removed 3 months into my pregnancy but if you see someone sooner, you can save your tube and thus your fertility, and a lot of pain! An injection exists which can cause the baby to abort quickly and relatively painlessly, laptopic salpingectomy (the removal of the tube and baby) is painful, debilitating, leaves you less fertile, with an increased chance of future ectopics and with horrible permanent scars.
The diagnosis is the report from the Radiologist, and is just a fancy way of saying that you have a herniated disk at L3-L4, and that the disk is pressing on the nerve, causing pain down the entire nerve pathway, which ends at the inner part of your knee.
Spinal pain due to disk herniations can always be traced by following the nerve pain pathway the patient is complaining about. All spinal nerves follow a known path from the spine to different areas of the body. Knowing which nerve path is having pain tells the doctor and patient which disk/s are involved. For example, nerve pain down the back of the legs is caused by disk herniations at L5 pressing on the sciatic nerve. Herniations at the Cervical spine at C5/6/7 result in severe pain in the left arm.
As far as treatment, it depends on the nature and extent of the disk damage. Once a disk is herniated (the medical term for a bulge or rupture of the disk membrane) it will eventually retract into position with proper treatment and rest. But the disk membrane at that point will always be weak - there's no way around that and it'll be like that the rest of your life. What you CAN do is to help ensure that you don't put yourself in a position to stress that disk again, and there are a range of exercises that are available that you can ask your doctor about. Your best option for exercise is a pool - swimming/aquatic therapy is low impact and high strength and is the best for disk rehab.
The area of your body you want to strengthen are your abdominal muscles, but you also want to concentrate on flexibility. Most people exercise without proper stretching, and that usually leads to problems. You should stretch a minimum of 30-45 minutes to get any effective flexibility.
Again though, it depends on the reason for the herniation to begin with - an accident, fall, disease, etc. If you're like me and have both spinal disease and damage from other problems then you're limited to the things you can do. You do need to research why you're having disk problems and what the long term diagnosis is from your doctor. Only knowing why it happened can you determine what to do in the future. But whatever you do, do it and stick with it. After 3 major spine operations, I can honestly tell you that you don't want to go through what I have. Ever.

Is it possible to go more than three months in an ectopic pregnancy?
Absolutely not--it would have killed you or at the very least put you in the hospital from bleeding.
It is possible. I just had an ectopic in June (I ended up taking methotrexate) and my doctor said there is no magic answer to that question. Each woman is different...some can go 3 months without feeling any pain others like my case, only 6 weeks. Best advice is go to your doctor if you have the slightest feeling something may be wrong.
WELL the answer to that one is yes i was around 14 weeks 4 days pregnant when i had my ectopic pregnancy it didnt kill me im still alive but i was seriously ill i had to have emergency surgery as my blood pressure was soooo low due to the loss of blood needless to say i lost my baby and my right tube, i still managed to conceive afterwards to and now have a gorgeous 2 year old daughter :)
Ectopic pregnancy actually means an out of place pregnancy. Some women with an ectopic pregnancy have gone full term (very rare). So, it really depends on where the egg implanted. Most tubal pregnancies are noticed between 5-8 weeks but even that can vary.

If you are on your period and u take a pregnancy test and its negative maybe you tested too early, your not pregnant or your eggs aren't coming together fast enough to tell if your pregnant or not .
At this stage there is so much variation in babies sizes that 10 days difference is not important. EDC is based on LMP by the way, it may be adjusted at an early (before 12 weeks) scan, but not at 26 weeks.
Can trapped wind cause a ectopic heartbeat?
i have a de-fribulator fitted and my heart ectopics a lot more when i go to bed, i often wake up around 1:30 am struggling to breath as my heart slows down a lot and ectopics every 6 or 7 beats then i get the sudden urge to pass stools, ( number 2) or break wind. after passing i then return to bed a lot calmer, i have also been informed these could be panic attacks? i believe trapped wind can assist in ectopic heart rhythm

Yes, it can. I just went in for my "new OB" appointment last Wednesday at 9 weeks, 3 days. We went into the sono expecting to see a little peanut and a heartbeat. Instead, there was nothing in my uterus. The only thing they could find was a 3 cm "mass" near my left ovary. They repeated the bloodwork and sono two days later and found that my beta levels had increased to 9,000, but the sono showed the same- no baby- but the mass had grown another 2 mm. I had no pain, no bleeding. I thought I was having a normal, healthy pregnancy. I had to have the methotrexate injection and am currently dealing with it. I am 4 days past having the shot and my beta levels are up to 11,540. They should go down by 15% by Friday if it is actually working.

It takes time for the pregnancy hormones to settle so that is probably it. Until they do the body still think it's pregnant and the symptoms will remain.

In 05 I had my first ectopic everything happened so fast I was pregnant 1 day and the next day they were flying me in the ambulance to get surgery where 1 tube was removed. In May of this year I had the same pains my DR said it was a cyst and when I came out of surgery I had no idea what happened till 3 days later when I was checking out they told me they took out my 2nd fallopian tube.. I've been depressed ever since not wanting to talk to anyone much. I've been trying to find out about not having any tubes and so far I've only heard or read that we must go through invitro or something. Do you still get your period? please let me know what you find out yourvbunnie at yahoo is my email.

The only thing I can suggest is to get your opperative report. This is a long shot, but although they removed your fallopian tubes they may have left some part of it. I had one removed due to ectopic pregnancy and there was enough tube left that the doctor went back in a put a clip on it because when I did a dye test dye was still flowing out of it. If there is even 2 to 3 inches left of healthy tube you can look into tubal reversal. Like I said this is a long shot and chances of an ectopic after this I assume are high but its worth checking into or you can do IVF.
