On average I would say that it cost about $220 for a one way ticket via WestJet or AirCanada from Edmonton to Toronto (including taxes and surcharges) and this price excludes black out periods (i.e. Spring Break, Christmas, etc though you might still be able to find low prices during these times). However, if you are a keener, you may be able to find tickets for around $150 (before tax) which adds up to be $200. Also, if you're extremely lucky you could get tickets for $100 (before tax) which comes out to be $150 (I was able to get tickets for that price once but the flight was for the following day). My brother lives in Edmonton and I live in Toronto so I am always scouting for cheap tickets. Also, expect to be paying around $5-10 more on your ticket from Toronto to Edmonton as the taxes here are higher and your flight time from Toronto to Edmonton may take longer as well (by probably 5-10 minutes as well).

Im sorry but 2 hours is to long. I just came back from Sydney NS. Flying from Toronto's main Areoport Lester B. (YYZ) to Halifax is about 1 hour 10 mins. If u want to go to the Cape (Breton) Sydney it takes 1 hour 50 mins non-stop. Really depends on the flight and non-stop or stop over in Montreal. My experiences have been that flying Air Canada is NOT the best option. There is a time zone so please do not get confused. 2 hours
