Is it dc motor?

Depending on the construction of the motor, most likely YES. As long as the motors components allow for the opposite flow of electricity, then the only problems would be speed (turning the motor fast enough to generate) and/or force (overcoming the interior magnetic force required to turn the motor shaft).

Can an electric soldering iron be used to solder silver?

Soldering SilverNo, it isn't hot enough. IT DEPENDS, if two silver plates are overlapped and then soldered with say electical (Tin/Lead) ie Resin cored solder then YES. But if two silver rods or bars or sheet are to be joined end to end etc then NO. The criteria is STRENGTH of the joining material and of course the COLOUR of the joint. THE process is as follows; Use a very hot Mini- Blow Torch ie. Butane or Propane torch, or Oxy- Propane welder and obtain High Silver content Silver Brazing rods (about 20%to 40% silver content) from Model engineering suppliers or Welding suppliers, and Practice first joining small peices of Brass or Copper. The best Silver brazing rods for your purposes are the FLUX-COATED types. EXPERIENCE AND PRACTICE WILL MAKE YOU VERY PROFICIENT.

Yes, if you buy a special type of solder. You can buy different solders for different metals or for different heat levels. Just go to your local hardware or a crafting or hobby store to buy these. The people there can offer great advice on whatever project you are doing.

How do you power a 3 volt DC motor with a 12 volt battery?

you would have to put some type of resistor in the circuit with the motor...the resistor would have to be in series with the motor and would have to be of a high enough value to lower the voltage by 9 volts....There is a formula for working this out but you would need the amperage of the motor to figure this....

How are cathode rays originated?

its negatively charged particles of matter,Thomson knew that opposites attract but these the positive charged anode,so he reasoned that the paticles must be negatively charged! : )! Wooooo! Go J.J Thomson

Where was georg Simon ohm born?

Why it is generly true that a digital signal required high bandwidth than analog signal?

A: Analogue signal Direct voltage that varies in the low spectrum of frequency on digital signal the information is deciphered in micro seconds therefore the frequency must be hi the higher the better.

What is forward and reverse starter?

A forward and reverse starter is an electrical control system used to manage the direction of a three-phase motor. It allows the motor to run in both forward and reverse directions by switching the phase sequence supplied to the motor. Typically, it consists of contactors and relays that control the supply of power, ensuring safe operation and preventing damage. This type of starter is commonly used in applications like conveyors, cranes, and other machinery requiring directional control.

How does beta factor affects the transistor?

Beta is current gain of that transistor, whatever be the input the trasistor. we will get the output multiplied by the beta.

for example in CE amplifer if Base current is 10 microampere and beta of that transistor is 100 then collector current would be 1mA i.e. 100 times greater than input current

What are parts of Rotating anode dual focus x-ray tube?

A cathode ray tube will emit electrons boiled off a heater located in the cathode area. As electrons leave the cathode traveling to a more positive potential located at the plate a grid of negative potential can deflect, impede these electrons flow.

What is the relationship between voltage and current?

You need to figure in resistance also. The formula is I=E/R. Current (I) = Voltage (E) divided by Resistance (R). At the same resistance, if voltage goes up, so does current.

Alternative Answer

The ratio of voltage (U) to current (I) is called 'resistance', i.e: R = U/I. If this ratio is constant for variations in voltage, then the circuit is said to be 'linear' or 'ohmic', and obeys Ohm's Law. If the ratio changes for variations in voltage, then the circuit is said to be 'non-linear' or 'non-ohmic', and the circuit does not obey Ohm's Law. As most circuits are non-linear, it is clear that Ohm's Law is not a universal law.

Difference between ac and dc bridge?

DC Bridge... We use DC supply, Detector is also a DC current detector and we use only resistive components no need for wegner's earthing device balancing time is comparatively less.. where as in AC bridges opposite of above. i.e. AC supply, AC current detector resisitive+ reactive componants need for wagner's earthing device and balancing time is high as we use AC supply..

When a three light circuit is connected in series with 2 6V batteries what is the voltage across each of the lights?

If a three light circuit is connected in series with two 6V batteries, and the three lights are identical, the voltage across each of the lights is 12V divided by 3, or 4V.

What the volume of a fuji film canister?

Film canisters are what photographers use to store their film. The average volume of a film canister is about 35.325 cm cubed.

What is steady state in rlc circuit?

To put simply it is where the system is ballanced. Imagine a wave that's getting bigger and bigger as each cycle passes, this is known as an unstable system. Again imagine a wave getting smaller and smaller with each cycle, this is a stable system that tends to zero when this cycle meets the zero point the system is said to have reached its "steady-state" the time in which it takes to reach this state is usually a factor as well as the "overshoot"

Imagine putting a current into a system "turning it on" say it requires 3volts so the zero point discussed before would be the 3Volt point. When you turn the system on it doesnt just reach 3Volts instantly the power could possibly run past 3Volts, known as overshoot, then start to oscillate until it settle down much like a spring. When the oscillations settle down the system has reached steady state. dampening is commonly used to achieve this and prevent overshoot.

For a formula of resistance. Is it correct to divide the current by the voltage rather than the other way around?

Ohm's law says V=IR, where V is voltage, I is current and R is resistance. To get resistance, divide both sides by I:

V/I = R. If you check the units, you'll see that they work out this way, but would not work out correctly if you tried I/V.

(but remember, this only applies to systems which obey ohm's law, which is usually not quite true in real systems, but is generally true in textbook problems)

Where is resistor used?

The resistors are mainly used to reduce the current

What is relay coil?

An electrical device, typically incorporating an electromagnet, which is activated by a current or signal in one circuit to open or close another circuit.

Based on Characteristic the protection relay can be categorized as-

  1. Definite time relays
  2. Inverse time relays with definite minimum time(IDMT)
  3. Instantaneous relays.
  4. IDMT with inst.
  5. Stepped characteristic.
  6. Programmed switches.
  7. Voltage restraint over current relay.

Based on of logic the protection relay can be categorized as-

  1. Differential.
  2. Unbalance.
  3. Neutral displacement.
  4. Directional.
  5. Restricted earth fault.
  6. Over fluxing.
  7. Distance schemes.
  8. Bus bar protection.
  9. Reverse power relays.
  10. Loss of excitation.
  11. Negative phase sequence relays etc.

Based on actuating parameter the protection relay can be categorized as-

  1. Current relays.
  2. Voltage relays.
  3. Frequency relays.
  4. Power relays etc.

Based on application the protection relay can be categorized as-

  1. Primary relay.
  2. Backup relay.

Primary relay or primary protection relay is the first line of power system protection whereas backup relay is operated only when primary relay fails to be operated during fault. Hence backup relay is slower in action than primary relay. Any relay may fail to be operated due to any of the following reasons,

  1. The protective relay itself is defective.
  2. DC Trip voltage supply to the relay is unavailable.
  3. Trip lead from relay panel to circuit breaker is disconnected.
  4. Trip coil in the circuit breaker is disconnected or defective.
  5. Current or voltage signals from CT or PT respectively is unavailable.

As because backup relay operates only when primary relay fails, backup protection relay should not have anything common with primary protection relay.

When was the integrated circuit made?

1958, but the germanium based process was difficult and expensive to use, requiring all the components in the IC be interconnected by hand under a microscope. It took another year or so for the silicon based planar process to be used, which allowed all components and interconnects to be made using photolithography.

What is better for girls out of electrical or electronics engineering?

The sex of the engineer has no meaning. What matters is the training, desire, and aptitude. It does not matter if a girl chooses electrical engineering or electronics engineering - it is her choice - based on her will to excel in one field or the other.
