What problems can occur with soldering activities and how can these be overcome?

There are three classes of problems.

First is the health hazards from soldering fumes. At one time, solder contained lead. Heat lead enough to melt it and it generates fumes that are dangerous. The rosin flux in solder also produces hazardous fumes. Proper ventilation will overcome this.

The second is done through the use of corded handheld soldering tools, which have static electricity at their tips that can damage components. If you use corded soldering irons, get the kind with grounded tips. These ones have three-prong plugs.

The third is thermal damage to parts. Using solders with low melting points, and proper technique, will solve this.

Can you play Angry Birds with PSP-3000?

no you cant you can only play anngry birds on a touch screen or computer

Can you replace a 470uf 10v capacitor with a 470 25v 105c high temp radial leads capacitor for a digital tv converter box?

Yes, as long as there is room to mount the larger capacitor. A better replacement might be a 470uF 16v capacitor, which should be smaller than the 25v cap.

If necessary, insulating tubing can be put on the leads & the cap can be mounted off the board, or at an angle to the board.

Remember to observe polarity when connecting the capacitor leads to the board. Note the orientation & markings on the old capacitor before unsoldering it.

What is a UM3 AA battery?

Is the X10 Home Automation controller compatible with Leviton's Decora Home Automation Switches?

Yes they are, as Leviton's DHC system is based upon X-10. I would place a further clarification on my response as I am assuming you are talking about an X-10 controller like a model SC503, MC460 or some similar plug-in type controller (or even a wireless one such as an HR12A palmpad, KR-19A keychain remote or other) transmitting the x-10 signal to a Leviton DHC switch.

Why there is a 'QC passed ' seal in all electronic goods?

It is a sales gimmick. Supposedly to refer to Quality Control. However unless there is a standard referred to then it means nothing.

What is the difference between dual trace cro and dual beam cro?

In a dual beam oscilloscope we are using two separate electron beam for producing different wave forms. But in a dual trace oscilloscope the same beam is used for producing two different wave forms

Can you use a Japanese TV bought in Japan in America?

What are galvanic batteries?

A galvanic battery is probably most simply described as a battery which consists of a number of voltaic cells in series or parallel.

A battery is a group of something, like a battery of guns protecting a harbor, or a battery of tests composing the SAT, or a group of power cells grouped together to equal either more voltage or greater current capabilities.

Just for interest sake, individual cellsstarted life being called a Voltaic pile named for the Italian scientist Volta. There was a dish of acid, a bar of zinc, and a bar of a dissimilar metal, say copper, for instance each dipping into the acid. You could measure electrical current between the zinc and copper bars.

An old trade name for the zinc plating process was Galvanum. Hence 'Galvanic'. So the any power cell that used an acid and two dissimilar metals used 'Galvanic action' to create electricity from chemical energy, even though zinc may not have been used at all.

A Galvanic battery is a group of galvanic power cells packaged within one enclosure. A 9-volt battery is a good example, as it is made of 6 power cells at 1.5 volts each, packaged in the neat little rectangular container that we see all over the place.

What is the meaning of secure electronic transaction?

Secure electronic transaction is a protocol standard that secures credit card transactions over the internet. This allows people to make credit card payments for items in a secure fashion over an open network.

How can you get Internet in the mountains?

WhatDepends on location. If you can get cable TV or phone service, most providers offer packages that include internet service. For very remote areas there are satellite internet providers that may get you online. Try HughesNet; Wild Blue; Skyway; or Starband. Keep in mind that you are working off of satellite signals and dense forests or woodlands will block reception. If this is the case you will need to make a clearing to eliminate overhead obstructions. The satellite company should provide you with the direction and degree of clearance needed.

Can you parallel schottky diodes?

according to Texas Instruments it is a good practice to use multiple schottky diodes in parallel.

What does the term electronic materials mean?

Any of various solid crystalline substances, such as germanium or silicon, having electrical conductivity greater than insulators but less than good conductors, and used especially as a base material for computer chips and other electronic devices.

Are instruments able to detect the light?
