An ALS ambulance is an Advanced Life Support ambulance. It carries things like medications given intravenously and allows for some more invasive treatment in the case of emergencies, such as tracheotomies (running a tube down your trachea).
There is no role for a paramedic at a crime scene. However, where the crime has resulted in an injury to a person, the paramedic may be called in to give medical assistance to the injured person.

The motto of St. John Ambulance is 'Pro Utilitate Hominum'.
Jet-wise, LeerJets are the most popular among air ambulances. Although the LeerJet has long stopped production and was replaced by the BeechJet, Leer's have a larger passenger door allowing enough room for the onboard gurneys to be removed without taking the patient off the cot. Beech and newer aircraft have all sacrificed that door opening to get enough room to allow more rooms for seating. For propeller aircraft, the most popular for medevac crews and maintenance staff both are the KingAirs. I don't know the specific model numbers off the top of my head - I work in the back of them, not the front.
Paramedic salary varies from agency to agency. In the NYC area a paramedic working for a private "non-emergency" transport ambulance company makes around $21/Hr. The city 911 FDNY paramedics make around 24-29/Hr and the hospital based 911 paramdics (very hard to get a full time position) make 27-35/hr.
Being a paramedic is a dangerous occupation. The following are risks that paramedics may encounter in their work:
The Ambulance Service is Government Funded. You obviously pay tax to the government which is how they pay for the ambulance service and other resources.
US-Centric Answer:Yes, ambulance service will be billed to your insurance, or to you directly if you have no insurance coverage.
Following an ambulance without its lights should be done like any other vehicle, a car length for every 10 mph. If the lights are on, 50 yards is a good distance to stay back. Emergency vehicles can and do make erratic lane changes and starts and stops.
A nurse does not NEED to be optimistic but if they are nice then it could make the patient's happier, and help them recover faster; it could also help the nurse coope with the bad situations they might face. I think a good nurse also needs to be empathetic and understand where the patient is coming from. I mean, would you want to be in a hospital bed and feeling sick and then have a mean nurse yell at you all the time? No way!
You would not be able to hold down a job as a paramedic if you were scared of blood. What would you do if you had to attend a road accident. However, all paramedics should be cautious and wary when near blood as blood can be contaminated with diseases. When near blood they should wear protective clothing etc.
The Doppler effect.
It defines the relative change in frequency and wavelength of any waveform perceived by the observer when the observer is at a distance from the source and not with it.

Yes. You are able to sign up to be frozen if you become ill and die and you will be unfrozen 50-100 years later when they find the cure for the disease that killed you. Also you can get a cheaper way of being frozen by just signing up to have your head chopped off and they can grow you a new body when the technology becomes available.
In the UK, there are no designated ambulance drivers. A crew will decide who is better suited for the shout's driving taking into consideration how long people have been working or wether there are any specific reasons a person is unable to drive. The salery for ambulance personell is usually £21,000-£31,000 depending on experience and role.
they probably wont get that much considering its only a paramedic job you know !!
if you are considering becoming one i would avdvise you to just become a nurse or a doctor or something instead because you get a much better pay and you get to do all those other things you do.
but if not you could become a paramedic but don't expect to get sleep at night because you may just not get any if you are out driving someone to the hospital !!
love you all x x x

im assuming that you mean the livery on vehicles. I cant find a specific date but i know that the livery was done this way because vehicle drivers may not be able to read the word when an ambulance is behind them. Because of this, they may worry that it might be a police vehicle.
