It is not a 16 pin, it is a 3 pin on this model, it is under the bonnet in the back left hand side in front of the fuse box, near the steering fluid.

could be many resons worst end a head gasket fault,lack of water,inoperable fan,seized thermostat,air lock in coolant system

Head gasket . check for gunge inside oil filler opening (rocker cover/ cam cover).

The manual says that the maximum sump capacity is 4.1litres so if you drain the oil from the engine and put a new oil filter on it'll take about 4-4.5l to fill it up again

At the rear of the fuse box there are 2 relays the same that are yellow ,one relay does the wipers and the fan blowers, the other is for the heated rear window..
