Uncut Sheet flooring would be 12' wide Vinyl roll goodswhich are not actually laminated but printed.

The question should read (I think) "How many 12"x12" square tiles would it take to cover 95 square feet?" If so, then each 12"x12" square tile is actually 1 foot x 1 foot square tile whose area would be 1 square foot. Since you need to cover 95 square feet, the number os yiles required would be 95. The thng to remember is that everything must be in the same units.

The thickness of subfloor needed generally depends on how far apart your floor joists are located. In most cases, floor joists are 16" center-to-center and the most common thickness of subfloor is 3/4". Some homes will have 1/2". If your floor joists are farther apart, you will need correspondingly thicker subfloor to adequately support weight between the wider joists. Your city's building codes department will be able to specify what you need (some cities may have differing requirements).
Another factor might be the kind of flooring you will install. For carpet, vinyl, laminate, wood and other non-rigid flooring types, the 1/2" or 3/4" will be adequate. For tile, the Tile Institute of America recommends no less than 3/4" subfloor on 16" centers floor joists - but with 1/4" backerboard installed on top of subfloor. Is wood ok to use as a sub floor when laying tile?
Wood is fine for your SUB-floor, but not as the substrate to which you intend to attach the tile. You still need to install a crack isolation membrane or tile backerboard on top of the wood subflooring. It's because wood has too much 'give' and will cause your tiles to track and possibly pop loose. Grout lines will crack and eventually chip out.
I followed instructions exactly for installing tile to my plywood subfloor - I used a polymer-modified thinset mortar designed to work with wood, and my floor joists were 16" on centers. The only difference is that I had a double thickness of subfloor (1-1/2") instead of the recommended minimum of 3/4". Ten years later, I have several tiles which sound 'hollow' (loosened from the subfloor) and several others are cracked. These are high-density porcelain floor tiles. I'll not do that again.

The lesson here is that the more detail you put in the ad, the better the quote.. You will have to understand that not every installer has Golden Hands, some are thieves & butchers, so you may not always want the low bidder..
