Hold your ADA handrail where you want it. Pencil mark your hole pattern. They make drill bits to drill tile. I find the massonary style bit to work best. Dip the bit in water every once in a while to keep it cool. Drill a 1/4 " hole at each mark, tap in a blue "moly" in your FOUR locations. (use the 4 hole pattern) and screw your rail to the wall. ADA height is 34" to the center of the pipe. GL

How many 13x13 inch tiles do you need to cover 32sq ft?

32 sq ft = 32*12*12 = 4608 sq inches.

So number of tiles required = 4608/(13*13) = 4608/169 = 27.27

So a minimum of 28 tiles would be required. But that assumes that all the off-cuts are utilised - NOT a reasonable assumption.

Why are roofers removing old asbestos roofs more at risk of developing lung cancer then people who install asbestos flooring?

Installing asbestos flooring involves less disturbance to the asbestos-containing product than does removal of asbestos felt roofing. Consequently the flooring installer probably has less exposure to airborne asbestos fiber than does the roofing remover, and therefore less risk of developing cancer.

However, if a similar comparison is made between the flooring remover and the roofing remover, the greater risk falls to the flooring remover.

The answer to the question is basic chemistry, Rubber, Vinyl or almost any plastic is not water soluble, so water doesn't dissolve or break down the heel mark.

Is the von schrader carpet cleaning system better than rotovac?

Both the Von Schrader Low Moisture Extraction System and the Rotovac high flow-high moisture tool are carpet cleaning systems.

A single head wand-cleaned home that would take forty or fifty gallons of heated water in order to clean the carpet would require even more water and chemical if a rotary tool were used throughout the project.

The Von Schrader method however would use from five to ten gallons depending on soiling conditions in that same home

The Rotovac type tools have been around for a long time under different names from different manufacturers. It is essentially a hot water pressure tool utilizing multiple high-pressure, downward firing spray jets that are spinning on a rotating plate above the carpet fibers. the Rotovac is a high pressure, high flow, high temperature cleaning tool that may be used by a truck mount operator or a portable H.W.E. operator. It may be used by these operators with any number of different quality chemicals from different manufacturers with or without pre-treatments or spotters or with or without the acid rinse. Therefore the latter "Rotovac" is not really an integrated system but a hot water cleaning tool in which cleaning results will vary with the above mentioned variables.

The V.S. machines operate on a radically different principal than either the hot water "wand" or the hot water "rotating multiple jet tools" and are far more efficient at getting soiled carpet cleaned. The V.S. machines use a low moisture, low chemical, low temperature approach. Rather than using many gallons of heated water and chemicals pressure sprayed into the carpet pile followed by vacuum extraction, the bubbles and bristles combination separates the soils from the fibers they are dispersed and held in suspension in the air-cell medium and are drawn away instantly by a very efficient vacuum into a holding tank. The carpet, rug or upholstery fabric is cleaned with less moisture, heat and chemical facilitating a very pleasing quick dry time-- usually from one to three hours.
