It varies greatly. A flutist who plays in a local symphony or band may only make a couple of thousand (or maybe even nothing!) a year. A lot of performing is volunteering. If you are one of the very few flutists who make it into a world class orchestra (such as the Chicago Symphony), you may make 35,000- 70,000 a year depending on your position in the orchestra. Keep in mind making an orchestra of such a high caliber is very, very unlikely. Most flutists have other jobs, often teaching flute lessons, because the salary for performing is more often than not NOT enough to pay the bills. Musicians generally do not play for the salary, but they do it for their passion or music.

Higher octane is helpful for high compression engines. High compression causes the combustion to take place faster and can cause pinging and a loss of power. By using high octane with high compression you get the advantage of the extra efficiency of the high compression engine and the delivery of the combustion across the power stroke of the piston, with out pinging.

Yes, Gemeinhardt produces a lovely tone and is great for a student who wants to score high in the music area. I suggest an open hole flute, which is for people who are intermediate-professional. It gives you a solid tone and a more pure sound. Gemeinhardts usually have an extra footjoint which allows you to play an octave lower than a regular flute. It is probably the most widely known and used student flute.

Some cats are more sensitive than others. Remember, a cats hearing is much better than ours and hear anything we hear but many times louder. Cats hearing is better than a humans and a dogs. Human hearing stops at 20 kilohertz and a cats stops at 65! When you are playing, don't think your cat is being mean, stingy, or thinks you play bad, it is just they hear the flute many times louder than we do.

The cheepest I've managed to find so far is 80$ but on average they range to like... 200-800$+ For a high quality one.

I know if I wanted to invest in a pan flute and learn how to play it (Which I do) I'm gunna save up for a more high-quality one that'll actually sound good when I play it.
