Is Chris Christie a mason?

As far as we know, Chris Christie has not mentioned being a member of the Masons. Throughout history, there have been a number of famous political figures who were Masons, but contrary to internet rumors, Gov. Christie does not seem to be actively involved.

Is freemason a racist group?

Freemasons are not a racist group.

Are the Shriners' hospitals religious hospitals?

Shriners' hospitals are not religious hospitals and have anti-discrimination policies. They are hospitals that are funded by the fraternal organization of Shriners through their various fundraisers and through contributions of members of the many Shrine Temples, along with their other charitable activities.

Shriners are all Masons and, as such, have declared a belief in a Supreme Being in their initiation to that organization, but no specific religious affiliations are formalized. Christianity is a common shared religion among the US Masons, however, there is no specific official religion or denomination association, and some Masons are Hindu or Islamic. A Volume of the Sacred Law is displayed in Masonic Temples. This may be a Christian Bible or, in Lodges with a membership of mixed religions, there may be more than one sacred text displayed.

Why would you like to join the order of the eastern stars?

The purpose of the OES, from the related link, is: "The stated purposes of the organization are: Charitable, Educational, Fraternal and Scientific; but there is much more to it than that. Dr. Rob Morris, the Poet Laureate of Masonry, founded the Order using the beautiful and inspiring Biblical examples of heroic conduct and moral values. These portray the noble principles which should adorn the personal lives of Eastern Star members. Eastern Star strives to take good people and through uplifting and elevating associations of love and service, and through precept and example build an Order which is truly dedicated to charity, truth and loving kindness."

One would join because their purposes are in line with the OES.

Are Freemasons still considered bad even if they are charitable?

The views of people affect wheter or not a person considers them bad or not.

  • opinion

I consider Freemasonry bad because they believe in Deism and their symbolism in my religion could be considered satanist and even involves with Egyptian black magic and ritualism. Also, they have been involved with the murder of people whether for good or bad. Do not be fooled by their charitable works, which they only use to mask what their real plan is.

Many Freemasons have been affiliated or are part of the Bohemian Grove club, which has been exposed by reporter Alex Jones. In the Grove, these people worship a 40 foot owl. These rituals are from ancient Babylonia. Many influencial people are part of this Bohemian club where they discuss and plan world affairs.

Interesting as the first answer is mostly a pack of lies. It is funny how someone who is not part of the group would pretend to know more than one of it's members.

Lie #1-Freemasonry does not practice or believe in Deism. Each member is free to adhere to the faith of their own choosing and are encouraged to be active in that faith. It is not the business of the Lodge to tell anyone what to believe.

Lie #2 - Freemasonry's symbolism is not in any way shape or form satanist nor does it involve Egyptian anything. There is no magic of any kind involved either. This is fear mongering and nonsense.

Lie #3 - Freemasonry has not been involved in the murder of anyone. Have there been murders by a person who is also a Freemason? Yes it has happened and we, like any other group do get a bad apple now and again. Again the 1st answer is fear mongering and ignorance laid bare.

Lie # 4 - There is no "real" plan other to "make good men better". The first answerer is referring to some conspiracy that can name no facts or any evidence but insists you believe,... really?

Lie # 5 - Bohemian Grove has nothing to do with the Freemasons. Now is it possible that someone who attends this encampment could also be a member of the worlds oldest fraternity? Sure. Alex Jones is a moron and exposed nothing but his greed and stupid ramblings. The Bohemian Grove is not evil and nobody worships anything. The encampment's mascot is the owl and symbolizes wisdom. There is a history you can get free of this insane conspiracy rants that explain all that goes on and why here. Who attends and what is discussed, not planned.

Now on to your original question. Your pointed question not withstanding, Freemasonry is a fraternity of men. Most likely any Freemason you meet will be the most honest and upright person in their community, not because they are a Freemason, but because that is the type of person they are. These people are attracted to Freemasonry because other like people gather there. The one and only purpose is to improve one's self and thereby the world around us.

Please don't accept the Internet rantings and UBoob videos that offer nothing but speculation and expose their ignorance to the world. Read scholarly works. There is a building in your town called a Library. There are books contained in there. I would suggest to anyone who might buy into this conspiracy nonsense, please read about it in a book, the seek out differing opinions and read those before you take in an opinion hook line and sinker.

Do you have to be a man to be able to be a freemason?

There are three types of Freemasonry in the world today:

By far the largest is "masculine Freemasonry", and is typically the Freemasonry with which everyone is familiar. These Lodges do not allow females to be made a Mason - one must be a man to petition and receive degrees.

There are also a small number of "Co-Masonic" Lodges which welcome both men and women as Masons. These are termed "irregular" by the predominant masculine Masonic bodies.

The smallest group is "feminine Freemasonry", which only welcomes women as Masons. Feminine Masonry is also considered "irregular" by the predominant masculine Masonic bodies.

The small number of Co-Masonic and Feminine Masonic Lodges are not due to any type of repression or stigmatization, but rather an apparent lack of interest on the part of females in becoming Freemasons.

Is Manly Hall a reputable source for Freemasonry?

I do not think Manly Hall is a reputable source for Freemasonry after reading some of his material. I would say the same thing about Albert Pike. People such as them are a legend in their own minds and have tried to define Masonry for those of us who are in the trenches and are out working in our communities for the betterment of society on a daily basis.

My recommendation is to go to your local Masonic Lodge and talk to the members to get a sense about what Masonry is all about.

How do you find a member of the Eastern Star to Talk to?

Google Order of the Eastern Star and your state. That will take you to the state Grand Chapter. The state organization will list the local chapters and the officers. Email one. OR Call the local masonic hall (lodge, temple) and ask about how to contact the local chapter. They are all out in public and most will be willing to talk to you.

Who has more power a 32nd degree mason of the Scottish rite or a knights templar of the york rite?

It depends on what you mean by "power." If you mean the power to read a newspaper through brick walls, or fly through the air unseen for long distances, or bend steel bars with your bare hands, or melt stainless steel with your x-ray vision, then the answer would clearly have to be a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. But, if you mean the power to get free sodas from any vending machine, or always find an empty parking spot, or the power to get a comfy nice armchair at work, or always get a warning instead of a ticket when you're stopped for speeding, that kind of stuff, then the answer is that kind of power is for Knights Templar only.

Degrees in Freemasonry, Scottish Rite, Royal Arch, etc. DO NOT confer power.

Even in Blue Craft Freemasonry, the Grand Master, though afforded particular respect, is "On the Level" with all other Master Masons.

Ahh, the "Blue Craft" Freemasonry. That's the stuff.

There is no degree of Craft Freemasonry higher than that of Master Mason. Although some Masonic bodies and orders have further degrees named with higher numbers, these degrees may be considered to be supplements to the Master Mason degree rather than promotions from it. An example is the Scottish Rite, conferring degrees numbered from 4° up to 33°. It is essential to be a Master Mason in order to qualify for these further degrees. They are administered on a parallel system to Craft or Blue Lodge Freemasonry; within each organisation there is a system of offices, which confer rank within that degree or order alone.

Hope this helps

Who is 123456789?

It is hard to determine a person that has a number tied to their name, unless you know what the numbers stand for. The numbers 123456789 could be an id number for someone in the government or a persons id number in witness protection.
