PVA (Polyvinyl acetates) are probably the most common adhesive on the market. They come in a variety of formulas, all ever so slightly different, and specific to what they are designed to glue. Here are some tips for using Polyvinyl acetates.
- All PVAs are designed to work on porous materials only
- PVAs are water based, and clean up with warm soapy water.
- PVA is only toxic to ingest, it does not emit any harmful fumes, and is not hazardous to touch
- PVA sets best in good air circulation, at room temperature.
- PVAs need pressure to adhere
- Most PVAs are not water proof. The yellow PVAs have a higher moisture resistance than the white ones, but neither are completely water proof.
- Never allow your PVAs to freeze. This breaks down the polymers and your glue will be rendered useless!
- Yellow PVAs have a shorter shelf life than white PVAs.
- Be wary of over priced PVAs that claim to be for a specific use. There is very little difference from one PVA to the other, and nothing that should increase the cost.
- Although PVA is not a gap filler, in some cases you can add sawdust to it to increase its gap filling ability.
I'm not to sure that is a good idea. It can probably stick to the inside of your stomach. Wouldn't suggest eating it.

I had a small crack in my frames near the lense (should of popped out lenses) and fixed them with gorilla glue. I got a little bit on one of the lense, most came off with alcohol while the glue was still wet, once it dried, it was stuck there. I used nail polish remover to remove the glue, worked like a charm, it will take a bit of rubbing and wiping the lense, or lenses, but it should work, it did for me.

Hi there as it gets hot I would go with a stronger 2 part glue. I would suggest araldite . You mix equal amounts of softner to hardner on some card mix it then apply it to the to be glued object.
ANS 2 - I like that fix. -However if you live in north America you may not have access to Araldite.
Substitute J B Weld for an equally good solution.
How long will the sticky adhesive last on post it notes?
You may get the best answer if you contact 3M directly and ask them if they can confirm for you- from personal experience, I was handed down a few packages of post-it notes from my aunt, who bought them in the 1980's but never used them- it's now 2011 and they're still sticking OK! Not as strongly as new post-its, but they could have just changed the adhesive formula since the '80s. My guess is it does last a long time.
