I got a little bit on one of the lense, most came off with alcohol while the glue was still wet, once it dried, it was stuck there. I used nail polish remover to remove the glue, worked like a charm, it will take a bit of rubbing and wiping the lense, or lenses, but it should work, it did for me.

Hi there as it gets hot I would go with a stronger 2 part glue. I would suggest araldite . You mix equal amounts of softner to hardner on some card mix it then apply it to the to be glued object.
ANS 2 - I like that fix. -However if you live in north America you may not have access to Araldite.
Substitute J B Weld for an equally good solution.
How long will the sticky adhesive last on post it notes?
You may get the best answer if you contact 3M directly and ask them if they can confirm for you- from personal experience, I was handed down a few packages of post-it notes from my aunt, who bought them in the 1980's but never used them- it's now 2011 and they're still sticking OK! Not as strongly as new post-its, but they could have just changed the adhesive formula since the '80s. My guess is it does last a long time.
