You can look at the ingredients when you buy things, and some times you can ask the employees, but these things can make trying to eat gluten free harder, if you want to plan things out, but they work! Best of luck!

I checked with a baking soda vendor and they explained that all baking soda is naturally gluten free. It is baking powder (which uses baking soda) that may contain gluten. You need to check with the manufacturer.

In a situation as with Celiac disease you will want to be sure to get the correct answer directly from the manufacturer. If there is no phone number on the package, do an internet search to find contact information for the company. Many products you would not expect to have gluten will, because they may be manufactured in a plant that also processes wheat products. For example, you should question the manufacturer of oatmeal to be sure it is not coming from a mill or facility that also handles wheat, which could allow some cross contamination in tiny amounts enough to trigger reactions in Celiac disease.

According to the company that makes the ice cream you asked about, the birthday cake flavor ice cream is NOT gluten free. Any flavor that includes gluten-laden ingredients in the title or pieces of the stated items such as cookies, cake pieces, pie crust pieces, graham cracker pieces, ice cream cone pieces, or anything that contains wheat, rye, barley (malted), or oats, etc., are not gluten free. Best to stick to flavors that do not contain these items or that are specifically labeled gluten free on the package.

Regarding gluten, some of our products are obviously not gluten free, such as our Cutie ice cream sandwiches, Chocolate Cookie Crunch pint, and Tofutti cookies, as well as a number of our frozen food products like Pizza Pizzaz and blintzes. Even though we do not add any gluten directly in our mixes, we usually do not certify any of our products as being gluten free because of the manner in which some of the flavors we use may be processed. Vanilla, in particular, is typically distilled with grain alcohol. Although it is cooked off during the distillation process, it could still leave some trace amounts of gluten. Since this information is proprietary to the flavor manufacturer, and ordinarily we only require the ingredient be totally dairy free (kosher parve), we have no way of knowing for sure. What reaction an individual might have depends on the severity of his/her condition. For the love of god somebody answer! I am on day 3 of no wheat and all I want is red meat.

I'm not sure but in any case the question becomes moot when considering it's other bad qualities. I understand it completely destroys the absorption of sulfur and of coarse MSM which is the building block of all healthy body functions.

"Yes all of our products are gluten free"

I have Celiac disease. Took it this morning and have a bit of an upset stomach, but that may just be my low tolerance to these types of supplements as I am a new user.

I have not had a problem with this product. Although this is gluten free in come cases it is not casein free. Most people with Celiac Disease are also Casein (protein in milk) intolerant.
