Overall GPA of 2.68 but you got a 1730 on your SATs you do have a couple extracurriculars. how can i get into a college straight out of highschool?

You should have a chance of getting into a college. Apply to a few schools that you know you can get it into and a few reach schools (ones that you would like to get into but you might be stretching it to get in). If you are still in high school, there are other things that you can do besides applying smartly. Make sure you keep up your grades and raise your GPA, even if just by a little. Every bit counts.

What GPA score do you need to get into ITT Technical Institute?

You don't need any kind of GPA score. You need at least a G.E.D. ITT Doesn't really care as long as they see your 40,000 dollars from government loans for your associates degree. I would suggest going to a 4 year school, or starting at a community college and transferring from there. ITT isn't recognized for credits in other schools. It's more of a business than it is a school.

What is a high GPA?

What does a 2.5 GPA means?

Based on a 4.0 scale a 2.5 GPA (Grade Point Average) is typically associated the letter grade of "C". The 2.5 is a ratio which was derived by a the total grade points attempted (typically the credit hours of the class) divide by a summation of the grade points achieved (passed). This is also known as an improper fraction depending on how well or poorly the student performed.

For example if you took four (4) three (3) credit hours class one is attempting twelve (12) grade points; each class independent there are a number of ways to 'achieve' a 2.5 GPA. For example:

History letter grade "A" --> 4 Grade Pts * 3 Hrs = 12

Biology letter grade "C" --> 2 Grade Pts * 3 Hrs = 06

Math letter grade "F" --> 0 Grade Pts * 3 Hrs = 00

English letter grade "A" --> 4 Grade Pts * 3 Hrs = 12

-----------------------------------------------------

TOTALS: Attempted 12 | Earned 30

-----------------------------------------------------

GPA = Attempted / Earned thus 30 / 12 = 2.5

-----------------------------------------------------

(Due to a non-mono spaced font this does not format well)

If you have a 1.5 GPA in your junior year. Can it come up to a 2.5 by your senior year?

If you have a 1.5 GPA in your junior year it is still possible to bring it up to a 2.5 by the end of your senior year. It will depend on how many credits you take and what grade you get in each class, but it can be done.

Can you get into a uc school with 3.5 GPA average from monta vista?

From the UCSC website:

Establish an Acceptable Grade Point Average (GPA)

California residents need a minimum GPA of 3.00. Nonresidents of California need a minimum GPA of 3.40. The GPA is only calculated on courses meeting the "a-g" requirements in the 10 th , the 11 th , and, if completed, the 12 th grade. See the UC Eligibility Index chart on this page for further information.

Although this answer is true, truth is getting into a UC school is extremely competitive these days. It's true 3.5 tends to be a little low for UC entrance but I think you will have no problem getting into UC Merced or UC Riverside. Then again I don't know what you got on your SAT, what your extracurriculars are or how many AP/honors classes you've taken so basing your entrance on GPA alone is not gonna cut it. If you have strong extracurriculars, lots of AP/honors classes or a high SAT score then you could have a good chance of getting into UC Santa Cruz and perhaps UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, and UC Irvine. However, if you are just basing this question off your GPA, I would say UC Merced and UC Riverside would be your choices. Good luck!

What GPA do you need for medical school?

1) a very high one, but it varies depending on the school, also, MCAT scores need to be very high. I'd say you need AT LEAST a 3.5 or so.

2) To get into the top medical schools in the US, you would need to have a GPA in the upper 3's (3.6-4.0). Of course, med schools also look at the intensity of the courses you took, which undergraduate college you're coming from, your MCAT score, and your extra currics. Just having a high GPA and MCAT score will not be sufficient to get you into a top medical school. Take a look at www.mdapplicants.com and http://www.studentdoc.com/medfind.html for more info on the stats med schools are looking for.

What college is easy to get into with a 2.0 GPA but is also a good party school in the US and that is nice in the life factor?

Try community college, bro. It doesn't sound like you're that interested in academics. College would be a waste of money for you at this point.

AnswerMost well known party schools in the US are hard to get into because they receive many applications, thus making your chances of getting in less likely. However, some less known party schools can be easier to receive admission such as Cleveland State. This university is located in Cleveland, OH, and is very easy to gain admission. CSU requires a 2.3 GPA and a 16 ACT/750 SAT. Cleveland is also considered one the top ranked drunkest cities in the US, and is home to many bars and clubs. Also, it is home to "The Flats" and has three major sports teams: Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavs, and Cleveland Browns.
