Which is highest paying between human resource and graphic design?

I really think that your income depends on your marketing ability, precise skills and unique qualifications. Therefore, you can make equally as much in human resource and graphic design. I personally know individuals in both sectors that make over $100,000 or more per year however they effectively market their skills and are extremely qualified in what they do. So, if either of these careers appeal to you, just make sure that you receive the right training, market yourself and go for it - you could do very well.

How are rgb and cmyk alike?

They aren't - RGB (Red, Green, Blue) is a color format primarily used in computer and electronic applications, because computer screens use red, green and blue led's (or in older CRT's, dots) to formulate an image onscreen.

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) is used in printed mediums. Since the 2 are different color profiles, work constructed on a computer must be converted to CMYK, along with using a proper color profile, to get a truer representation of what the finished product will look like in printed form. Without those tools, an image created in RGB won't look as intended when printed out in CMYK format.

Printers connected to computers are often RGB format as well, though some can be purchased with CMYK cartridges. Color copiers usually have both formats that can be selected.

Is Aquinas argument design qua purpose or design qua regularity and why?

Well, technically it is both although usually it is classified as qua purpose.

Aquinas uses the analogy of the archer- the archer being God, guiding the arrow (the world) towards it's target (divine purpose). Yet it is not that simple because if we take the analogy further, the archer starts with a plan (ie: pick up the bow, shoot the target) which is design qua regularity.

but to be on the safe side, quote it as qua purpose.

What uses more memory bit-mapped graphics or vector graphics?

It depends on complexity of a drawn picture, but in most cases, vector graphics takes less space on a media: a bit-mapped image stores information about each pixel of an image, wille vector image stores only types of objects and parameters for further rendering.

What is a plate processor?

It's a machine that develops printing plates.

How they work is pretty simple. The emulsion on a printing plate is water-soluble before it's exposed. When it's exposed, whether to ultraviolet light, purple light or heat (depending on the kind of plate you're using), the exposed areas become insoluble. You put the exposed plate in the entry. There is first a spray bar--a tube with lots of holes in it--that applies a soap & water solution to the plate. Next, a rotating brush with soft bristles removes the unexposed parts of the emulsion. Following that are a series of spray bars that wash the plate with water. Next comes a squeegee and warm air to dry the plate. A final spray bar applies gum Arabic to the plate to preserve it, and a final blast of warm air dries the gum. When the plate emerges from the machine, it's processed, gummed, dried and ready to print with.

What is the future of web and graphic design?

I've been web and graphic designing for around 6 years now and I can tell you from the time I started compared to now the demand for web/graphic designs is growing.

These days every small business or company needs a website in order to maximize their full potential. Even small business owners like photographers, flower shops, bakery's, need a web site to allow for online orders and so that they can get more clients. Web sites don't look good without graphics and usually the graphic makeup of a website will determine how much effort the company puts into their work. Web design is the future and is becoming mandatory for allowing your business to grow.

Graphics design is also being used more and more to create everything from posters, to business cards, to invitations, logos, and more. Graphic designing is important to businessness and organizations because it adds appeal to the company making it more attractive to the consumer.

I see the future for both these fields to rise as its a field that is in demand and essential for a good business or entrepreneur to make it in today's world.

List 3 estimate considerations when quoting an entire project for print and what impact that consideration has on the cost of the job?

To estimate printing, you need to know what paper you wish to use, the size and the amount of finished pieces, and the ink colors and coverage. The weight of the stock/paper makes a difference, as does whether it is a coated or uncoated stock. The size of the finished piece is also important to getting an accurate cost estimate. If you are using PMS or 4-color process inks is another crucial element. Does your piece bleed (do the colors come off the sides of the paper once the piece is cut to size)? That makes a very big difference in cost, due to press lock-up considerations. Some other considerations are: Are there half-tones or photos? Will the finished piece fold? If so, how (how many times and in which direction(s))? Do you need more than one hit of color (for instance, in a "rich black" there might be black plus blue underneath)? Generally, the larger the number of finished pieces equals a cost savings per piece. ALWAYS look at your cost per piece to compare different estimates.
