Your motherboard is running a PCI-Express x16 1.0 port (The orange one at the top), and therefore is able to grant you a few more graphics card options than even a slightly older computer could offer-- Be warned, this is still a legacy technology so your upgrade route is limited.

I don't suggest going any higher than the nVidia 560 (Or equivilent part) due to bottlenecking at the motherboard level, as well as potential power requirements that your power supply may not be able to handle. You can buy any card on the market for PCI-Express x16 and it will fit in your slot, but they will be more and more heavily gimped by the slower 1.0 bus speed as the cards get more and more powerful.

This is a very old graphics chipset, and no longer supported by Intel, except for downloads of existing drivers. No drivers were ever made for Windows Vista for it. I think you meant the game portal 2? It will be a bit choppy on intel HD graphics. you can only run it on the lowest graphics with a low framerate. Problem with Intel HD 4000 graphics is it's not a dedicated graphics card. Almost all (if not all) of intel HD Graphics are integrated into the CPU which means that they don't physically exist as a separate core from the CPU. Therefore they are not ideal for 3D gaming. If you have them on a desktop, consider buying a dedicated graphics card, preferably an Nvidia GTX series(or Nvidia GeForce if you are on low budget). if it's a laptop, you can't change the graphics, so buy a new laptop with a dedicated card if you want to play games at moderate-high settings. It could be, but you will have to be careful about your SATA ports, and the tall capacitors. They are ok bending, but bend them too far and they will destroy your motherboard. Also, you will be best off not using your PCI slots, for the sake of cooling.

There is not any particular name for a computer supporting dual pci-x Video Card. Instead this technology is referred to as "CrossFire" for ATI Video Cards and "SLI" for nVidia Video Cards.
