Who manufactures Task Force tools?
Answer
Some of the Task Force woodworking tools are made by Rexon Industrial Corporation, a Taiwan manufacturer that also makes some of the Sears Craftsman tools. Their website. Prior to being called "Task Force" at Lowe's some of the tools were called "Tradesman", but I do not think that the "Tradesman" name was used exclusivley by Lowe's. Many years (many, many) before I saw the name at Lowe's I bought a Tradesman drill press from Central Tractor (now Tractor Supply?) and the logo on the drill press is identical to that on the table saw and band saw that I bought from Lowe's.
The products shown on the Rexon website, with the Rexon name on them, are identical to the Tradesman/Task Force band saw and table saw that I bought from Lowe's. The motor on my band saw, btw is identified as a Craftsman! The USA office of Rexon, in Rock Hill, SC, identifies their web-site as
AnswerWell, after lots of searching and research I'm convinced the answer is Legacy Manufacturing. I believe they distribute the products under the trademarks of Workforce, Task Force and Central Pneumatic to various retailers. They are a division of Weems Industries.I was searching to find an owners manual for a Task Force hose reel commonly sold by Lowes. I find the owners manual I was searching for on Legacy's site which is what convinced me they were the manufacturer although the model and item numbers did not align to Legacy's posted numbers.
AnswerI was told by a salesman at Lowes that Task Force brand tools was a spin off of Black and Decker. Haven't found any proof though. AnswerActually, Fire Storm is the spin-off from Black & Decker since Black & Decker started marketing themselves toward professionals. They created Fire Storm to continue with their market for the everyday consumer. Task Force does seem to only show up at Lowes so that would lead me to believe that this is their house brand.FINAL Answer
Task Force™ is indeed a house brand of Lowe's Corporation. There are most likely many different manufacturer's of these tools found at Lowe's. Unfortunately they do not manage a brand website so no information is able to be found on these products.

Why were Navy Seals used instead of Green Berets to kill OBL?
Navy Seals are trained as a small, elite strike force whereas Green Berets are trained to go into enemy territory and set up foreward command posts, train local friendly militants, set up relations between locals and us military and prepare them for when the main force arrives. Green Berets are amazing, but they specialize in a completely differant type of warfare.
What was one response to the communist take over of China by the US?
One significant response by the U.S. to the communist takeover of China in 1949 was the establishment of a policy of containment aimed at preventing the spread of communism in Asia and beyond. This led to increased support for anti-communist regimes in the region, including military and economic aid to Taiwan and other countries threatened by communism. The U.S. also sought to strengthen alliances, culminating in the formation of military pacts like SEATO (Southeast Asia Treaty Organization) to counteract communist influence.
I was in SF in the eighties and a bunch of the guys came over from the Ranger Battalions. Also, there are a lot of Infantry units throughout the Army that send some of their people to Ranger School.
Why was the gulf of tonkin resolution repealed?
There were economic reasons, as well as questions of accuracy to the reasons it was signed in to begin with. However, in the end, it mainly came down to public pressure. The American people were strongly against our military's involvement, and after a huge response, including protests, sit ins, and other demonstrations, the resolution was finally repealed.

Are green berets the best special forces unit?
They are the only official US Army Special Forces unit; they are called SF men for short. Any other such men or units are also categorized as "special operations units" but that is simply a catch all phrase to avoid using a lot of confusing terms. "Special forces" is used generically in other countries, but in the US, it specifically means only the Green Berets.
Now, the best Green Berets are asked to try out for Delta Force, with only the top 0.1% making it in. Delta is a "special operations" unit, not "Special Forces," but they are more elite.
By definition each special force has its own specialties, as well as its own limitations. However, I can tell you that after the battle you describe, the highest-trained force in the entire US military would pick up the wounded -- the highest-trained force is the US Air Force Pararescueman!
Navy seals vs marines recon vs delta force vs green beret vs army rangers?
Well, If you ask me I would say Delta Force. They are considered the Elite of the Army rangers. They have a problem with numbers though, they are the best of the best that only the most fit and bravest men on the planet can make.
You cannot really compare SOCOM Units the way people do because the mission and structures vary so much. SEAL 6 or Delta wouldn't stand a chance against a Ranger Battallion, A Ranger Battalion would probably notlike what they ran into if a single SF Team had been in country for 1 year doing what they do. I was a member of 2nd Ranger Bat and I could travel through the woods over great distances with considerable weight better than about every SEAL I met and every SEAL I met could smoke me in the water. What about PJ's, CCT, 160th, RRD no one ever mentions them maybe they are the best. The units have different missions an 18 man A team can't seize a defended runway and a 300 man assault force can't sneak up on much of anything. So the A team sneaks in and looks it over then tells the assault force what is going on and the two together conduct / coordinate the assault (example Panama Invasion) which included SEALS and others. Every member in the Special Operations Community is profficient land, sea or air but all have various specialties and specific training. The only group that seems to always be there no matter who is there (Seals, Rangers, SAS, CIA, etc.) is 160th but wait they are pilots they can't be the best but I would bet that they save more friendly lifes and inflict more enemy casualties than any force that has ever beeen on this planet. They are involved no matter who is fighting. Each is the best at what they do but they all do similiar but different things and non of them can do anything without food, water ammo etc. the whole military is dependent on itself and special groups with special training all tied together to support specific needs as well as common needs the special ops guys just tend more to the special needs.
