What kind of referred pain can you have with a L2 compressed fracture?
I have a compression fracture at L2 which occurred 6 and 1/2 years ago. I have referred pain down to my ankles in both legs- with very limited mobility in my right hip- I was advised that L2 is responsible for hip movement. My referred pain goes down the back of 1 or both legs, into knees down through calves/shins and into ankles. I would be very gratef to hear from anyone with similar injury.

I've actually tried this. There's not much you can do except use sex toys or fingering yourself. Since I'm not old enough for toys, I go with the "toy" that is free; my fingers! Though doing that to yourself doesn't enlarge you in a second, if you do it once or twice (or even more!) every day, your vagina will gradually get larger. Good luck for your first sex time!

Well, I'll do everything humanly possible to answer this. Unfortunately, we interneters aren't gods. You know, medicine is not an exact science, but we are learning all the time. Why, just fifty years ago, they thought a pain like yours was caused by demonic possession or witchcraft. But nowadays we know that you're suffering from an imbalance of bodily humors, perhaps caused by a toad or a small dwarf living in your groin.
But seriously, go see a doc. I have had pain like that too, but i had two weeks of my daughter sitting low before birth and hurting my pelvic area.
It's pretty normal, technically every woman is different and get different amounts of pain. Call it luck then. I've been having terrible period pains since 10, including water retention, back pain, sore legs, swollen ankles, nausea and bloatedness.
Call it bad luck, but there's always a choice to get through it. Try painkillers like Panadol Menstrual, or those strange natural remedies you can get off the net (make sure they are credible!) sometimes caffeine helps, SOMETIMES. The warm pack thing does help a little and you can use the heat from your laptop and watch videos or surf websites to take your mind off it.
If it gets so bad you cannot function, good to see a doctor for a check, it could be something more serious.

Not counting injury, such as a blow to the groin, a strain on the tendons and ligaments in the groin can produce pain. Generally, rest and cold will help. As weird as it sounds, a bag of frozen green peas makes a good icepack for the groin- when it warms up, refreeze it.

Are sharp vaginal pains common?
No, sharp vaginal pains are not common. Most sharp pains are most often coming from:
- the penis repeatedly hitting the cervix, which jars the uterus (neck of the uterus is the cervix). Tell your partner not to enter as deeply.
- Scar tissue around pelvic organs; if the cervix is hit, the force has an effect on all the organs in the pelvic region.
- IF an ovary has a cyst or cysts, a woman can have sharp lower abdominal pain.
- IF a woman has an untreated vaginal infection, or if it has traveled to the uterus (Pelvic Inflammatory Disease--PID), there can be intense pain as soon as a male tries to enter the vagina. The vaginal muscle can make the vaginal opening "closes off" as a physical defense. Once the infection is treated, the pain stops and the vagina does not spasm from the infection.
- A common issue is that sex makes people breathe harder and take in air into the stomach and digestive tract. Gas pains can be sharp and intense! Try gently massaging down from your ribs to your pelvic bone. Go down the center, then, down each side of the front. The warmth and pressure of your hand will help move gas downward to be expelled. To help expel it, you can lie on your left side and draw your knees to your chest. IF the pain is from the colon, you might have a bowel movement within the coming hours. This would stop the pain.
