Can you get conceal carry permit in state of Ohio with a DUI?

In general, the answer is yes, it is possible. The Ohio Revised Code ORC 2923.125 (Section D) states that those with ANY felony conviction are automatically disqualified from being able to get a concealed carry permit. In Ohio DUIs are generally first degree misdemeanors. However, there may be aggravating circumstances that could elevate DUI conviction to felony status. Anyone with 3 or more DUI convictions within 6 years is automatically guilty of a 4th degree felony.

However, if the DUI conviction is sealed by the court, the sheriff cannot look at that conviction when processing your application.

Why should you have less stricked gun laws?

OK- word is strict. Your question calls for an opinion. Here is my opinion- there are several thousand national, state and local gun laws in the US. In some cases, the people that made the laws do not even understand the wording in the law they passed. Many of the gun laws do not affect criminals, since they do not obey laws- but they do affect law abiding people. Violent crime- including crimes involving guns- is at the lowest rate in years. At the same time, gun ownership has gone up. Laws that prevent honest people from being able to have a gun only takes away their ability to defend themselves from crime.

Who wants to keep gun control?

It always amazes me that the second amendment it interpreted today as if it is still 1776. At that time the British didn't want anyone but their own troops to own guns. The Americans said otherwise. We are not living then but now. We don't have single shot muskets and pistols and most of us do not hunt and gut game for food.
Now we have rapid firing hand guns and multiple round assault rifles. I agree that guns should be available for sale but those who buy should pass various tests. Other countries have much stricter gun laws and also lower homicides rates (not just for using a gun). If we don't allow certain people to fly and they are on a 'no fly' list, why can they buy guns? Why don't people who have guns secure them properly? If the idea of having a gun is so important, then there should be safety concerns addressed. We do have to wear seat belts and can't drive 'buzzed'.

What Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment was used to incorporate the Second Amendment to the states?

The US Supreme Court incorporated the Second Amendment to the states via the Fourteenth Amendment Due Process Clause as a result of their decision in McDonald v. City of Chicago, 261 US ___ (2010).

Although the Privileges and Immunities Clause was originally thought to incorporate the Bill of Rights to the states, the Supreme Court blocked this path with its decision in the first case interpreting the Fourteenth Amendment, The Slaughter-House Cases, 83 US 36 (1873).

In the opinion of the Court, Justice Samuel Miller concluded the Privileges or Immunities Clause protects only those rights "which owe their existence to the Federal government, its National character, its Constitution, or its laws." Justice Samuel Alito summarized the Court's earlier thinking in his recent written opinion for McDonald: "The Court held that other fundamental rights-rights that predated the creation of the Federal Government and that 'the State governments were created to establish and secure' - were not protected by the Clause."

The Court later explicitly refused to apply the Second Amendment to the States in US v. Cruikshank, 92 US 542 (1876), a decision that stood for 134 years.

Is there a age restriction for open carry of a pistol?

Yes. This varies by whatever authority has jurisdiction over where you're carrying. It is legal in some states to carry a pistol before you're of legal age to actually buy or own one. Then there may be clauses under which one might find themselves exempted, e.g., as an 18 year-old Combat Medic stationed at Fort Drum in Upstate New York, I was assigned an M9 pistol. Being transported from the cantonment area to the field training area required us to travel on public roadways which were not the jurisdiction of the military. Thus, without such an exemption, it would've been illegal for me to possess and carry that M9 while the vehicle was on those roadways.

How do you get your gun permit for 48 states?

There is no one permit that allows someone thats not a federal agent to carry a gun in all the 48 states. Now you could get a license as a armored car guard and while in the course of your job you would be legal in the 48 states. The fire arm interstate transportation act makes it legal to transport a weapon in a locked box through any state as long as you are in route to a state that you are allowed to have that weapon as long as its not in a console or a glove box and in cars without a trunk it cannot be accessable from the drivers seat of the vehicle. You could get a concealed permit and some states have recipacating agreement for up to 35 states

Were cops allowed to come to come to my home and take my fire arm I purchased it from a friend that was no longer legal to own a fire arm but had not yet transferred it to my name they went to his?

If you have not yet registered the fire arm they could take it. They can do this because since you have not registered the fire arm it is illegal.

If that is not the case then when and if they handed you paperwork when they came into your house did it state why they were there.

Hello. Thank you for replying! Actually they did not show my father any paper work at all, matter of fact they were not going to even give my father any type of documentation of proof they seized it. My father had to tell them, well no one is leaving with that fire arm with out either me getting all necessary record of so, or your supervisor here leaving with it on camera, and pointed to surveillance they did not even know was there. one officer said sorry, then once the supervisor and camera came in the picture my father said they folded like 7/2 off suit, wrote out the receipt after lying about it all, and left. They were only supposed to check that the vins matched to confirm the original owners claims, and to confirm I indeed had it. they lied.

What to write about ' Gun control' in the USA?

You are asking for an opinion- my opinion- the US already has over 20,000 laws and regulations concerning firearms, at Federal, State, and local level. Many people that believe that control over firearms should be increased do not know what laws are already in place. Again- strictly my opinion- trying to control crime by regulating guns is like trying to control drunk driving by regulating cars. This DOES tend to be an emotional issue. The link below will get you started on some readings both for and against further gun control.
