But Slash didn't acquire that guitar until he started recording Appetite for Destruction. Slash had played a Jackson before that, as well as a B.C. Rich Mockingbird. He's been quoted as saying that his current B.C. Rich Mockingbird was B.C. Rich's attempt at giving him a guitar like the one he had played early in his career.

The group was formed in early 1985 by Axl Rose on vocals, Izzy Stradlin on rhythm guitar, Tracii Guns on lead guitar, Ole Beich on bass, and Rob Gardner on drums. Guns was soon replaced by Slash, Beich by Duff McKagan, and Gardner by Steven Adler.

The Guns N Roses song Welcome to the Jungle was written by Axl Rose and first released in 1987. I did not do well on the charts until it was re-released in 1988.

Guns were never not 'together', if you can call it Guns. Basically it's Axl and a bunch of other guys. Slash, Sorum and Duff are in Velvet Revolver, Duff is also in Loaded. I don't know what Izzy and Adler are doing - I think Adler's still with Adler's Appetite.

Not long after forming wih slash and duff, rob quit due to the others wanting to embark on their own little tour thing all the way to seattle (which would be a large failure, as they only made it to the seattle gig), so slash called up his old friend from Road Crew, and then became the best line up also known as the classic lineup. which went as follows

I very much doubt it. There is so much animosity between Axl and the rest, I don't think it will ever happen.

There have been many people in Guns n' Roses btu all up there have been about 14 memebers.

The original band consisted of; Axl Rose (front man), Slash (lead guitar/rhythm guitar), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm/lead guitar, backing vocals), Duff McKagan (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Steven Adler (drums)

After Adler was fired for his heroin addiction in 1990, he was replaced by Matt Sorum of The Cult.

In 1991, after the realise of 'Use you Illusions' Izzy Stradlin left the band and was replaced by Gilby Clarke of Candy and Kills for Thrills.

Slash left the band in 1996 and Duff left shortly after.

Guns n' Roses is still a band today but Axl Rose is the only original member. The band also consists of Dizzy Reed and Chirs Pitman (keyboard and backing vocals), Tommy Stinson (backing vocals), Ron 'Bumble Foot' Tahl, DJ Ashba and Richard Fortus (all guitar) and Frank Ferrer (drums)

There isn't a whole lot of improvement I can do here, except, no one really knows why they broke up, nether do they, you're right about the replacements made with Gilby Clarke, and so on, and of course there was a lot of drug usuage between all of the members of Guns-N-Roses, Axl wasn't the only one with addictions. The front man usually gets the blame for any member(s) fallout. Yes Axl seemed concieted at times as well as Slash, and as well as others, wouldn't you? Being one of the top selling metal bands in history? But with that said, all went wrong was some legal complications involving contracts, drug use, and some creative conflicts. To say that Axl didn't care about the fans, or the band isn't fair, considering he came out with an album last year(Chinese Democracy), very successful, and by far one of Guns-N-Roses' best work, with returning Dizzy Reed, and Paul Tobias. You can't really call a performer a 'sellout' because that's how they to have make money, they "sell" albums; selling themselves, and their premodonnas, same goes for actors, and dancers, etc.

Truth is, no band lasts forever. Even the greatest of bands have had replacements over the years, and they too have had creative conflicts, like The Beetles, Elvis, AC/DC, Metallica, Bon Jovi, I Mother Earth, Blind Melon, I can go on. Hope this answers it. Take care.

I know one of the reason's was because axl rose was trying to write more music but because of drugs etc he started to become more racist towards black people by using the N-word etc and of course slash didn't want any part of that because he's half Brazilian so obviously he not going to stay if he's being a over the top daft racist! and then there was a lot of creative issues i.e they was suppose to be a hard rock band and suddenly axl wanted to start using the piano etc and the band didnt like the direction it was goin so then i think axl got a big strop on and told the band either they go and sign complete control over to him or he's quitting and shut the brand down. how much of that last bit is true i don't know. but why don't you just search for the GNR biography and watch it??

'Paradise City' was released in 1987 by Guns N' Roses and is on the album 'Appetite for Destruction.' It hit No. 5 on the charts!

Guns N Roses last single is Better (2008) but was only released in the United States they were due to release "Street Of Dreams" In 2009 but it was never released in any country both songs can be found on Chinese Democracy.
