A look at Bungie's job board reveals that they're looking for programmers with C++, C#, .Net and SQL experience, so it's my guess these languages were used for Halo 3 as well. Most likely C++ for the actual game, and the other languages are used more for their online stats and multiplayer/networking side of things. SQL is of course used to manage the huge databases of users. Every time you get a killtrocity, SQL has to tally that up under your username, and most likely .NET is used to compute all of the stats and plug all of that together. ;-)

If you go to bungie.net and sign up they have heatmaps of where players throughout the world have been killed and done the most killing in each map and it gives a very basic birds eye view of the top floor or highest points of each map. Go to "games", under "Halo 3" go to "online stats", and click "heatmaps." To view maps more easily, turn the influence down to 1 and the red and yellow indicatations should be extremely minimal.

Well this is a fairly asked qustion i would say if you want to play Halo 3 or any other Halo titles you must have a little bit of experience on first person shooters because if your friends invite you to come play with them and you have never even played and you think you can just pick up the controler and domonait youd be wrong
