How do you change oil on a 1989 Harley Davidson FXR Lowrider?
1. Run engine until normal operating temperature is reached. 2. Disconnect hose behind left side plate. Allow oil to drain completely. Once drained replace. 3. Remove and clean the tappet oil screen located under the plug on the cam case near the rear cylinder tappet block. 4. Remove oil filter. 5. Lube rubber seal on new oil filter with clean engine oil and install oil filter. Hand tighten oil filter 1/4-1/2 turn after seal contacts filter mounting surface. 6. With oil plug and filter tightened, install three 3 quarts (FXR) four 4 quarts (FLT) of recommended grade oil. The oil tank should be flushed with kerosene at the first oil change and at least every second oil change thereafter.

I think so as long as the engine size is the same. I'm not sure that Evo pipes will fit onto a TwinCam. I bought a pair of Screaming Eagle Slash Cut and they bolted right up no problem. Easy instal!!

speed sensor is located to the rear of the transmission chrome (retangular) cover. there are four bolts on the cover, if you are looking at the bike from the right side just behind the cover rear bolt is the speed sensor. loosen and remove Allen bolt with 3/16 Allen and rotate sensor just enough to pry out. it is in there snug. i just removed and cleaned my sensor. there were metal shaving. My symptoms were no speedometer , odometer, and turn signal not turning off after conmpleting turn.
