Information on a audio and video technician?
A degree in journalism, media, film or communications helps, but you don't need them. You can start out working in a tv station. Read the articles to see what I mean. Hope this helps.
Picture seems to be to big for screeen on rca 61 inch big screen how do i fix it?
Hi,
Check on your remote for a button labeled, `aspect'. That's the button that changes the aspect ratio of a picture and you could have it set too large. Then again, you may also have another button that magnifies a picture, like `zoom`, which will give you the same effect.
If it doesn't work with the TV remote, you also need to check you cable remote as well as satellite remote for the `zoom` function. Either could be improperly set.
Hope this helps,
Cubby

If you try the tips Cubby gave you and it still doesn't work, you might want to call the manufacturer for help. If they can't help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue they may refer you to a tv repair shop. I have an issue with my big screen tv (I'm posting on here). If I can't get any answers I can use to fix it myself, because I definitely believe in DIY, then I'll just find a few local repair shops for some estimates.
Good luck and I hope this helps you out too.
Should a 50-inch LCD TV be making a humming noise?
Some of the larger TV's are DISH ready, meaning that they have the tuner inside for SAT TV. The SAT tuners often have an internal fan that makes a humming noise. If it sounds like something other than that, you might have a bad component in your sound circuit that allows 60 HZ hum through the speakers. If it is a rear projection LCG TV it has a fan in it to cool the bulb. You will hear the fan if you listen closely. It usually cannot be heard over the volume. i think the fluorencent bulb and electronics inside make humming sound naturally. Kinda like when you turn on a lamp, and some lamps make a low humming sound. Another thought. A low hum with no sound on in an LCD flat panel TV, if not a fan sound which you can hear the speed pick up as you turn it on, can be a transformer or coil hum that may be normal, but the level of the sound might indicate the panel itself is the cause. Too difficult to express the actual level that is not a concern. If it's anoyingly loud, have it checked by a professional. Hint, lower the following adjustments to aid in diagnosing. Brightness, contrast or Picture, and backlight, if it has that feature. Pick an unused port with no information showing to see if it is there too. This helps a tech to understand more. Also if noise is more noticeable on one side of the TV.
How do you know about television telecasting?
It begins with a tv station. They show tv programs and direct the news. To see what I mean, try reading the article.
This usually refers to radio sgnals and often concerns the antenna but could also concern the type of radio aparatus.
What is Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio?
mega contrast ratio is a brand name of technology used by a electronics company to describe the contrast ratio of the screen
Try Sony, Samsung, Panasonic for full HD 3D televisions. For cheaper models, look at LG and Vizio but be aware that their 3D resolution is reduced to 540 line, half that of other brands.
I am a television tech and I bought the 60 inch Panasonic, I cannot believe the picture could be any better. The sound quality on a flat screen is poor.
How signal reflects back in an antenna?
In a properly matched antenna, signal does not reflect back - the transmission line and antenna combination is seen, electrically, as an infinite line - so there is no reflection - again, when properly matched.
Can cold temperatures harm LCD TVs?
Extreme cold could damage the screen, also taking something electronic from a cold place and putting it in a warm place, then turning it on can sometimes fry circuits due to condensation inside the machine on the boards. When you take it out of the cold be sure to let it set for an hour or so just to get the whole thing room temp before turning it on.
Do you need a digital converter for each old television you have?
In order to watch different channels on each of the televisions a separate set top box is needed for every television. Each set top box should connect to the antenna feed that has been connected to the analog RF input of the television.
If you are happy to have one channel on two televisions, a set top box that has two video and audio outputs will drive both televisions. They will show the same channel at all times of course.
How can you find the remote code for TCL lcd tv for your comcast digital converter box?
I've read elsewhere that Logitech Harmony universal remotes will work using RCA codes, they suggested L32HD31 as your TV to get it to control the TCL tv and comcast. I have used 10047 and 11781 as the remote code for a TCL LCD TV on my Comcast digital adapter remote. They are each RCACodes, that work perfectly on TCL , as RCA is owned by TCL.
What kind of HDMI cable would you need for a Toshiba laptop and a vizio HDTV?
Any HDMI cable that has an HDMI logo will work. All HDMI products need to be tested and licensed by the HDMI organization. If a cable passes the test, it works.
If HDMI cables work, they work as well as ANY other HDMI cable. The digital nature of the signal means that high cost cables do not deliver a better quality image than low cost cables. So, select the lowest cost cable in the store - it will be every bit as good as the most expensive.
The power of the signal, as perceived by the receiver, will be lower with an omnidirectional antenna. This is because the omnidirectional antenna is transmitting in all directions, while the directional antenna is transmitting in only one direction.
Think of the directional antenna as a lens, focusing proportionally more power in a smaller space.
What is the easiest way to get HDTV from your antenna to your projector?
Coaxial cable, RG6u or RG 59u. The RG6u has less loss for longer cable runs.
Will DVDs made in Australia work in DVD players in the United States?
only if ur DVD player is codefree & supports PAL dvds.
usually a DVD player sold in the us only accepts rc1 dvds.Australian dvds are RC4. and PAL. US dvds are NTSC. so if the us DVD player is a cool one it should play the DVD :) any PC can play it with the right software, i.e. the VLC media player (www.videolan.org).

Can you connect bluray player through HDMI to computer monitor using HDMI?
HDMI is a common standard so connecting a Bluray player to any HDMI input is likely to work. Computer monitors vary little from their television counterparts but there are one or two reasons why it might not work.
First, computer monitors may not be configured to handle broadcast HD signals. The timing and resolution are not standard computer formats so it is worth checking that the monitor can handle 720p 50Hz / 60Hz and 1080i 50Hz / 60Hz. Almost all should handle these format with ease but do the checking anyway.
Second, a copy protection system called HDCP is used on most domestic HD equipment and it encodes signals on HDMI connectors. If the monitor does not support HDCP, there is a good chance that some or all of the output from the Bluray player will not be displayed. Once again, a check of the manual should show if the monitor is HDCP compliant.
According to their Tech Support who I called yesterday regarding remote codes, Akai made the TV's until about 2 years ago. Now they say that Viore manufactures much of the TV with some of the major components manufactured by Samsung.
It was made by a company called Akai.
Their web site is below.
How can you watch DSTV on your NTSC HD television - do you need a pal to ntsc converter?
NTSC and PAL are two types of color encoding. NTSC is used in North America while PAL is used in Europe. Most other countries around the world use one or other.
HD signals do not use PAL or NTSC color encoding and most televisions are capable of displaying HD content whether source in the US or Europe. However, many disc players and games consoles use region coding to prevent a disc bought in one region (USA for example) being played in another (UK for example). This is normally a function of the disc player or games console rather than the televsion.
How do they convert a old letterbox format movie into a new widescreen format?
The wide-screen is a letterbox format. There are many different aspect ratios used today.
Do flat screen tv's have built-in speakers?
Yes, they do. Because the depth of televisions is getting ever smaller, the speakers are also becoming smaller. Speakers built into televisions have never had a great reputation but the tiny speakers in the latest models sometimes struggle to deliver good quality sound. For this reason, there are a number of third party solutions that house speakers in separate enclosures to delviery improved sound.
First, Blu-Rays are not DVDs. People should not get the two mixed up. Blu-Ray discs will only play on Blu-Ray players and those will only work on HDTVs. Blu-Ray players can play DVDs, but DVD players are not compatible with Blu-Ray
It is audio output from the device to be connected to other equipment. Commonly color coded as White = Left channel and RED = Right channel.
