Same problem with driver's side rear door on my '97 - stuck for over a year. I just finished fixing it. Obviously, start by taking all the screws out and take the interior door latch all the way out. Grab the door panel by the bottom tray (close to the bottom of the door as possible) and yank the ____ out of it straight out towards the interior. There are four plastic clips at the bottom of the door securing the panel to the metal frame that you have to disengage by brute force. They're spread out across the bottom. The panel should flex enough to disengage from the fit against the other interior panels surrounding it. Once it's free at the bottom, you should be able to worm the panel out in an upward direction from there. Good luck - have faith when pulling the panel off - remember it's already broken.

Why Doe's my Honda CR-V 1998 make a clunking noice wend drive over a pump?
Could be one of several things - remember your CR-V is now over 10 years old. I will try to list several possibilities - not necessarily in the order of priority - but you will have to have them checked out. Bad constant velocity joint(s) (CV joint). Broken motor mount or transmission mount. Loose exhaust pipe or muffler hitting the body. Bad or broken shock absorber(s) or strut(s). These are the first things that come to mind, and I'm not saying that your mechanic didn't NEED to do the original repair, but he definitely has to look further if you are still experiencing it.
Why would your CRV make grinding noises when making tight turns?
Honda uses hydraulicaly engaged clutches in the rear differential. To ensure that the response time of engaging and disengaging the drive force to a wheel, the tolerances for these are very narrow. What you are most likely hearing is the clutch rubbing because it is almost engaged due to the difference in wheel speed because of your turn. This may be a sign of low rear differential fluid or that your rear diff is wearing out. It may also be that you have a pinched line. There are little lines that carry hydraulic fluid to sensors that then mechanically activate the clutches. This noise is kind of like the bad burn out sound on the original Dukes of Hazzard show when they were on dirt. Another sound related to turning and grinding is that your CV joints are really worn out. This should be a very repetitive noise that you can make happen by turning tight complete circles in a paved parking lot at slow speeds. Hope this Helped

Always ensure that tire pressures are adjusted when the tires are cold for the most accurate reading.
