How do you replace the engine air filter in a Honda Pilot?
I just replaced mine and this model does not have plastic clips. The air filter is located on the right side of the engine but you will have to loosen and remove the four screws to get the top off. They are a bit hard to get to so you will need either a long socket wrench or a long handled screwdriver. Once that's done though, you just lift up the top and pull the old filter out and replace it.
AW
Don't have an exact answer for you. Open the hood. Your enginer may be covered by a plactic modling. you will need to pop the fitting off. you can use a small flat head screw driver. If not, Look on the driver's side, you should see a plastic box maybe 10in by 10in. There should be a round tube connected to the box. There should be 4 meatle clips. Just pull the clips back, remove the air filter and replace. When you buy a air filter from a parts store, they usually have the instructions inside the box. Gl

How do you open a 2005 Honda Pilot key to change the battery?
I think its in the manual, but basically, you need a small Phillips head screw driver, remove the one screw from the back. Then you can pop the two halves of the casing apart. Then, insidde, there is a separate encased unit (the piece that has the lock/unlock/panic buttons on it). That will just fall out if you turn it upside down. You need to pop those halves apart as well. There are tabs at each end that you can separate slightly then it should pop apart. The battery is in there. I think its a CR1616 watch type battery, but it should be imprinted on the battery itself.

Are Honda Pilot good used cars?
Honda pilots are great used cars. You get what you pay for. The reliability and performance is everlasting. I had a 2003 with 215,000 miles on it and never had any major problems. Regular oil changes and belt changes, air filters, and transmission fluid should be changed when told though. Never under estimate your Honda service dealer.
How do you change the engine air filter in a 2006 Honda Pilot?
I had been looking for the same answer for a 2007 Pilot and couldn't find it. So i bought the filter and took a shot myself. . .
Upon opening the hood, my 7-year old son could figure out where the engine air filter goes. It's a black box on the driver's side with a very wide hose going out of it to the engine. If you bought the right size replacement air filter, that's the shape of the black box.
You're going to need some light because there are four screws holding the cover of the filter box on. Unscrew them. Gently lift off the cover (so as not to disconnect the filtered air hose to the engine). Remove and discard the old filter. Put in the new filter. Replace the cover and tighten the screws.
Congratulations. You just saved yourself some money by installing it yourself. Now go wash your hands. . .
Side Note: Best to use a socket wrench w/ an extension to reach the 2 back screws (1 definitely will benefit from a flood light too).
