Not all of the Hondurans are poor most of the ones i know have iPads, iPods, iPhones you name it but whenever I go up the mountain to my grandma's there are tons of poor people living on the streets or houses made out of mud bricks it's very sad. There are beggars on the street asking for money and doing things to earn money to buy there food and clothes sometimes there are kids left alone on the street to beg for some money.

There's Guaro, a popular drink in El Salvador, Costa Rica, Guatamela, Comlumbia and Honduras, and Rum. There are more cocktail drinks that have sugarcane juice or molasses in them.

the standard of living is low for most Hondurans. there is lots of underemployment as well as unemployment. obviously this can lead to crime as people get desperate. the main problems in Honduras are lack of a decent education and corruption. the country has lots of potential but probably lacks good leadership and a good plan to pull itself out of its eternal low state. there are lots of Americans in the bay islands and other parts of the country. with $$ one can live well here. employment is tricky here unless one has his or her own business. good luck
