I can think of several epiphanies in Frankenstein off of the top of my head. One is after Frankenstein's creature comes to life he immediately realizes that he has created something monstrous. Another is when Frankensteins creature is outcast by the De Lacey family he realizes that he can never belong in a human society. I can think of one more when Frankenstein is creating a companion for the creature and he immediately stops and tears apart his work because he realizes that he is only repeating his mistakes.

I read my first Stephen King book at age 13, The Dark Half. And I loved it. It terrified and enthralled me, and I was instantly hooked. My next book was his infamous 'IT'. Even though I was 13 I could identify with his characters. Many of them were my age, after all. But he wrote the truth. And that is was synched my obsession.

I really think when it comes to the King, it all depends on the kid. Every child matures at a different rate, regardless of age. At 13 I was ready and his books thrilled me. To this day, his writing still inspires me and his stories never grow old. The profanity, the sexuality, the horror is intense, but most kids by age 13 have already heard the bad words (not just at school, but often at home as well!) If your child wants to read Stephen King, you can always compromise on one of his tamer short stories! Trust your instincts. You know what's best for your child.

DAREDEVIL IS NOT the horse's name. If you read the book you'll see that the horseman's horse is never named.

Daredevil was the name of the horse of Brom Bone. In the story Brom Bone boasts that he and Daredevil raced the horsemen one night. At the end of the book it is never made clear in the book that the HH was Brom Bone or not.

That being said, you can't claim that the Horsemen's horse is Daredevil because their is no solid proof of it.

It is commonly believed that the horse was named Daredevil. For example: in the movie by Tim Burton the horsemen's horse was called Daredevil. But if you are one of the few people smart enough to read the original story by Washington Irving you'll know that the horse has no name.

The Two Grenadiers, Robert Schumannâ??s Opus 49, was written in 1840. It is a ballad about two French soldiers released into Germany after imprisonment in Russia and how they respond to the news that their army had been defeated and Napoleon captured.

Oh, dude, like, no way. "The Woman in Black" by Susan Hill is totally not in first person. It's actually written in third person, so you get to creepily observe all the spooky stuff happening to the characters from a safe distance. So, like, don't worry, you're not stuck in the protagonist's head for this haunting tale.

Oh, dude, in "The Masque of the Red Death," the use of the word "masque" is ironic because while it refers to a fancy costume party in the story, it also alludes to the masked figure of the Red Death that ultimately brings death to the revelers. It's like calling a party "The Dance of the Grim Reaper" - not exactly a fun time for everyone involved. So, yeah, it's ironic in a dark and twisted kinda way.

I believe he is saying that unlike a calf, which he considers to be a mere beast, as a man he still has a chance at Heaven, the "dread Hereafter". Heaven is sometimes called that and the capitalization supports the idea.

I also think this may be yet another Hamlet reference, specifically to the line "But the dread of something after death" (3.1.77) in the "to be or not to be" soliloquy.
