How do you clean eaves and gutters?

I clean the gutters by using a ladder to get on the roof, then scoop out the trash into plastic bags. Others use a ladder, moving it as they go along. If you are afraid of heights or have a 2+ storey house hire someone to do it for you

What is an appropriate tip for house cleaning?

An important factor in house keeping is to have a place to be able to put everything away. Any household chore is more tiresome when you have 'stuff' everywhere. So the first step is de-cluttering.

The next factor that makes house keeping easier is not saving everything up to do at once. One trick is to do one small extra chore whenever you are doing a routine job such as; on the way to doing a load of laundry, dust something with a t-shirt or a towel; when washing up after a meal, clean one additional item, such as spray clean the outside of the microwave, sponge down the inside of the microwave, wipe down the hood over the stove or the control panel of the stove, etc. Keep an old washcloth handy and wipe down the bathroom sink area every time you use it. Wipe down the mirror after a shower. Just one little thing at a time adds up. When you have to 'clean the house', you won't have to stop to do all those little fussy jobs.

Of course, any household tips depend on the number of people in the household. When there are two or more people residing together, it is always helpful when you can use teamwork.

If you listen to music it makes it more fun and gives you the energy to get it done.

Where to dispose interior doors as I don't want to add to landfills I had to replace doors idn't want to put on junky plastic door bottoms on short doors to extend them what's the green thing to do?

If they are still usable, donate them to a Habitat for Humanity store if there is one nearby. Otherwise, most communities have help for low income people who want to do home improvement.

If they aren't usable you can repurpose them as work tables or to use across sawhorses. Also they can look pretty cool out in a garden in an old shed as most wood doors weather very well, meaning they look old and full of character. You can't burn them or bury them, unfortunately they are full of chemicals or paint. Hope this helps a little.

What is the value of a two bedroom house?

It depends on the location, the neighborhood, the building material (a "trailer" is not worth very much at all, and a manufactured home isn't too much more, but a brick or 2x4/2x6 built home is worth the most), and the condition. You can check with a local Realtor to get the values of homes in the area that have already sold. You can also check with the city assessor to get tax values. There is no "regular answer"

How do you make pipe connections really tight under the kitchen sink?

They don't have to be super tight, if they are plastic, hand tight is usually enough. For supply lines, use two wrenches, one on the fixture and the other on the supply line nut. Hold the faucet side and tighten the supply side.

Should a candle be frozen for longer shelf life?

In theory yes.

Even a candle can get attacked by various microbes, but this is not likely to happen.

Mice are a greater concern. They enjoy chewing even if they do not get nutrition out of what they chew.

Oxygen however react chemically with most candles.

It takes a really long time, but it does affect the rate the candle burn at.

I would not worry about it though.

50 years + and the candles still burn quite well.

No need to freeze them.

Just do not keep them too warm. That would really decrease their shelf life drastically.

How do you fix a water smudged hardwood floor?

The problem is not the floor, it's the finish. First try a home remedy. In a corner, out of the walking path, spray a small portion with Scott's Liquid Gold. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe carefully. If it cures the problem, you need to remove the build up of old wax from the floor and start over.

I've found that Bruce's Wood Care products, available at home centers, will properly remove the old build up and restore the finish of the floor. Another method is to sand the floor and refinish the surface, a back breaking job.
