How long will it take to become a US citizen after sending the N400 application?
I have been an alien resident for over 5 years, I have recently sent my N-400 application to become a US citizen, How long will the whole process take before I can get my citizenship?
I understand it depends on number of factors, lets assume my application was correct, no mistakes, all documents provided.
I was talking to a person last night, he told me, his took less then three months. Based on him, INS hired more people to catch up. Is that ture? I have always heard 6-9 months.
Any help will be appreciated. Any one else out there who recently became a citizen?

Rapid Irish immigration effected America's cities culturally; bringing catholic settlements (upsetting many protestants/Nativists), It's economy; bringing more cheap labor for the metal industries, textile, and railroad building; and forcing It's schools to "adapt" to the new Irish students.

How can you check to see if green card is valid?
I don't know what your situation is but perhaps you could simply ask to see their papers? Or I think immigration and naturalization papers are filed at state of county level. You could check into this.
Finally, you could check with the INS if you are suspicious. Be forewarned, however, that by doing so you could cause them a lot of legal trouble - like deportation for example...
Can a us woman marry a man with a green card visa?
I presume from your question that the US woman is about to marry a man who is in the US on a Fiance visa. She can marry that person within 90 days of his entry into the US. Also the marriage should be a genuine one and not for the sake of getting a green card. If it is a fake arrangement, then the fiance may be deported back and the US citizen may face legal problems.

Can i get legal status in USA if you get married to a 10 year green card holder?
It is a lot more complex than just getting married. It takes several years and many appointments with the immigration office. There are a lot of factors that go into to play here. I do believe that you must apply from your home now and not if you are already in the USA.
What product did Cesar chavez boycott?
Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American farmer and activist who, along with Dolores Huerta, founded the National Farm Workers Association. He strongly supported the Delano grape strike, initiated by a group of Filipino workers, who demanded for the higher wages, equal to the federal minimum wage. He, along with the National Farm Workers Association, asked the general population to boycott table grapes to show support for their movement. This strike lasted five years and was even supported by Robert F. Kennedy, when he was a member of the Subcommittee on Migratory Labor.

ANSWER 2
09/06/2010 Update
The answer above must be old because according to the message boards and my own experience it takes about 2 years in most cases with out any problems. The new increase in funding may speed things up for new applicants but I wouldn't count on it. Because you will be at the bottom of a 16 thousand applicant list for one thousand jobs. It is still worth it though.

How does illegal immigration affect unemployment?
One opinion:
There are an estimated 20 million illegal immigrants in this country. They don't just pick tomatoes anymore. They have started taking over our middle jobs as well. A Mexican came over here from Mexico 9 years ago. It started slowing down. He got laid off a couple months later he gets called back because they wanted someone that could speak to all the Mexican customers in their native language. "Se hablo Espanol" is everywhere. A teen used to be able to get a summer job or after school job at MacDonald's. Go there look around, that job he or she wanted is being filled by a 40 year old Mexican. At the fast food restaurants you will be hard pressed to find a white or black person even at the manager position. We also have these walk in clinics. They fill their jobs with interpreters for those that come in to be seen that can only speak Spanish. It's not only clinics, call on a Realtor, car dealer, dentist or the umpteen times you call anywhere and get the 'press one' to talk to someone in Espanol. (Supplied bu a nonmember user)
Answer:
Many people see immigration as a problem and increases unemployment. This may be a misconception. In places of high unemployment, you would not have any immigrants there simply because of no work. People see the immigrants taking all the blue collar jobs but it simply not the case. They do jobs that the "native" people won't do. These include strawberry picking, rubbish collector, cleaner... The list goes on. So next time you say kick out the immigrants, you go do the dirt work. The cost of such things will go up thanks to no willing people.
