The Intel Core 2 Duo is a much faster Processor than an AMD Athlon x2 64. I have 2 Computers and the one that has the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor is much faster. I logged on to the other one and it takes time to warm up after you log on, so I did a test to see which one is faster. I started the Intel Core 2 Duo Computer after I logged on to the other one and I could start it up and use it in 1/2 of the time it took for the AMD Processor Computer to warm up after I had logged on. There is proof that the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor is The Superior Processor vs. an AMD Athlon x2 64 Processor.

Pentium 1s are processors. They don't have memory.

The Intel Pentium DualCore 1.43Ghz is the Merom T2310 with 533fsb, 1MB L2 Cache, 65nm, and the unnamed 2.5Ghz could only be the Intel Core2Duo Penryn T9300 with 800fsb, 6MB L2 Cache, 45nm. The Penryn is newer, faster and more efficient.

Because Intel have intern cash memory and ther using is so quickly, then AMD dont have it.

Now I may be wrong here, but I am confident that hyperthreading is a technology built into the processor itself, and any operating system should be able to utilize it. You are right to the extent that Hyper Threading is built into the processor itself, but a chipset and OS which supports hyper threading are also required. The question you're asking, unfortunately, is not worded correctly. An Intel processor is a family of processor, where a quad-core processor is a type of processor. The Intel family includes many types of quad-core processors.

However, to try and disambiguate what you're asking, an Intel core processor will be good, no matter what type it is. An Intel quad-core processor - for example, the Intel i7 - will perform fantastically well.

The other main type of processor manufacturer - AMD - also have quad-core processors. However, a lot of it is down to opinion and machine build as to whether Intel is better than AMD, but personally, I believe Intel will out-perform and out-last an AMD processor.

if you are a average user than i3 will be considerable and price is also affordable but if you want a processor which can do multitasking and give you a higer and faster performance than i5 is best
