Isuzu Ascender

To program a remote for a 2006 Isuzu Ascender, first, sit in the driver's seat and close all doors. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine. Within five seconds, turn the key back to "Off" and repeat this process twice more, then turn the key to "On" again. Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the remote for about 15 seconds until you hear a chime, indicating successful programming.

where are the spak plugs located on the 2005 ascender?

If you've taken out your factory stereo and didn't replace it with a compatible unit, you may not be able to. From the factory deck, you press the info button a few times until you see "reset oil" and click enter. Simple as that really.

Remove 3 screws on the big black box on the right hand side by the coolant reservoir and remove the metal bar it has on the side by the rod that hold the hood up. And the filter is under the black box just lift it up

Turn on the ignition but do not start vehicle. Your engine and oil light will come on. Press on the accelerator three times and hold it down until oil light disappears. You have reset the oil life indicator.

It all depends on which one?? The primary "fuse" box is located passenger side top of dash under a the long panel. On the FTR's they don't use typical fuse's but circuit breakers. Their are other fuel blocks around under the cab in front of the radiator, one at the cab latch hoop, and typically another one is located under the box drivers side by the battery's. These have the main fuses for entire circuits so they are larger amp SLB (slow blow fuse) fuses. Happy hunting good luck.

I would jokingly say 3.5 years but i belive the 2006 4.2 Inline 6 is around 6 seconds. Its a SUV thus not built for speed but for versatility! So slow off start but power in mid range and torque for pullin and muddin!

If the blinkers have altogether quit it may be the your turn signal flasher is bad. There are two flashers; one for the 4 ways and the other for your turn signals. Usually you will find the turn signal flasher near the steering column under the dash. They are usually hard to get to. Also if one side still works then turn that side on to follow the clicking sound to lead you to the flasher. JCPC83's Answer, I will disagree with both of those. I have a 91, it has only ONE flasher unit. I bought mine from my uncle, the turn signals didn't work but the hazards did. You will have to take the steering colum apart and clean the contacts in the colum. I know it sounds difficult but it took me about thirty minutes to do. After I had fixed it my uncle told me that they hadn't worked for over a year but never told me about it. If you wish to check the flasher it will take longer to do, its located behind the speaker on the dash, you will have to pull the speaker out and look against the fender. You can also pull the kick panel and the ecm and reach up under the dash. I put LED lights all around mine and had to put in an electric flasher, the thermo flasher didn't like the lack of load, even after I modified the front side markers beside the headlights to work as turn signals.

You turn it one notch from the off position

One is under the 1st row drivers side passanger seat in a blcak box and another is under the hood just above the battery in a latch locked box.

How do you remove the interior rear door panel on a 2004 isuzu ascender?

I replaced the engine idler pulley that I bought from Autozone for about $17 and eliminated the noise. I initially thought the bearings on my alternator were going out but when I replaced the pulley all the whining noise disappeared. Good Luck!

According to my 2006 Ascender owners manual the oil capacity with filter is 7 quarts. This is for the 2006 4.2

These transmissions do not have a dipstick, the fluid level is checked by removing a fill plug on the case, similar to a manual transmission.

There is no DRAIN the system needs to be evacuated by a qualified repair shop the freon in the system may be so-called envornmently freindly but you can not release it into the air.

It is accessable from underneath the engine. There is a skid plate that protects the lower half of the engine from rocks and debris. There is an access panel in the skid plate. This opens by removing the 10mm bolts and rotating the panel out of the way. You can now see the oil filter up inside. You will need to do this with the vehicle up on ramps to access. Have a towel handy to pack under the oil filter. When you break the seal the oil will pour out of the filter and run everywhere. Another great design by GM having the filter sideways instead of up and down.

best to get one from the breakers as they are a challenge to put together again, also they could possibly fail if not repaired properly in the event of an accident

Lift the hatch. Remove the screws in the tail light assembly. Pull the tail light assembly out. It may need a gentle nudge. Now untwist the bulb assembly socket counter clockwise to remove. Replace bulb. Re assembly is in the reverse order.
