Then it is just unscrewing the plastic retainers that hold the right side trunk panel in. You'll then roll it towards the front of the car. The unit is mounted behind a brace towards the right side taillamp. I believe there are 4 bolts holding it in place.

There are quite a few things that can cause this. If check engine light is on you should get and engine diagnostics. Bad spark plugs and wires can cause the engine to idle low and cause stall tune up should fix that. Oxygen sensors in bank 1 and 2 of engine can cause fuel to run rich and possible vacuum leaks which means air is escaping through vacuum line. The S-Type key hole is above the center of the license plate between the two plate light lenses. It almost looks like a screw head. You will have to angle the key upward to insert it into the lock.

just hold the bottom of the seat and shake it until it get off.
put the bottom of the seat as far as you can on front seats.
you can't take it out because the seat belts are holding it.
now take a screw driver and unscrew the screws that are holding the back side of back seats they are all located on the bottom (don't worry it's little hard but you can do it so keep it up)now try to pull the back of the seats and with a flashlight
try to see inside the trunk. On the right and left there are two back seat release pulling wires (NOTE:TWO RELEASE WIRES TO OPEN THE BACK OF THE BACK SEATS ONE ON LEFT FOR LEFT AND ONE ON RIGHT FOR RIGHT)now try to reach one of them.
Ones you pull on it the back of the seat will be released now pull the other wire too, to release both sides.Ones they are down enter inside the trunk and fold the trunk carpet back now you can see the battery. With the car battery buster bust the battery (be careful the top one is Negative(-)and the bottom one close to you is positive(+) don't mix them if not it will catch fire try to see the +/- signs on the battery before plugging it ones buster plugged and power on the lights will be on now go to the driver seat and press the trunk release button it will open the trunk

How do you charge the ac refrigerant on a 2001 jaguar s-type?
AC compressor mounting is on bottom right of engine....access from underneath....Suction line is the larger line leading from compressor....remove dust cap...start car.....turn on ac....to lowest setting....on 134a use a recharge kit with pressure guage....know the ambient temperature (outside temp) before attaching ....if compressor is not running....keep hose and 134a attached....shaking can ....a low pressure switch is on this system to protect compressor .....when compressor starts continue with adding 134a.....rotating container from 12 to 3 oclock position.....note pressure....when pressure and ambient temperature are within range ....stated on 134a container...disconnect....hose....you should know ambient temp /pressure setting before you start refill...advisable to use a 134a with refrig. oil and leak seal....if system is low on refrig....will take 2-3 cans to bring within pressure range....do not overfill.....stay within pressure limits....this process will take 10-15 minutes to complete after refrig. hose is attached....be patient....somewhat slow process....read directions on refrig. can as a reminder for process....happy cooling....cecil...

Service Light Reset Instructions:
1 . Insert key into ignition.
2 . Press and hold the Reset switch (located on the Trip Computer Switchpack ).
3 . NOTE: The reset switch has to be released immediately after the ignition is switched 'ON'. This is critical to enable the rest of the procedure.
Turn the key to Ignition position II and at the point of entering Ignition position II (i.e when a click is heard), instantaneously release the Reset switch.
4 . Wait one second.
5 . Press and hold the Trip switch (located on the end of the left-hand side stalk).
6 . Wait one second.
7 . Press and hold the Reset switch (whilst still holding the Trip switch).
8 . The cluster should display (within three seconds) the warning message 'RESETTING SERVICE MODE'.
9 . Keep both buttons pressed until the warning message changes to 'SERVICE MODE RESET' (after ten seconds).
10 . Once the message is displayed the buttons may be released -- sequence is now complete.
11 . If a Service Required message was displayed prior to the reset sequence, cycle the ignition to 'Off' and then back to Ignition position II and check that the message is no longer displayed.

There's a remove tool available at Auto Zone. They come two pieces to a pack - you'll need four of them. They look like "u" shapes with nubs on the end. There are small black plastic caps on both sides of the radio. Remove those and you'll see the holes that the tools fit into. Once inserted, they end up acting like little handles. Put pressure towards the middle and simple pull them like handles. I did it with only one set but it was a little tricky. The tools are only $4 / set, so I'd get the two sets if I were you.
