How do you fix a 1994 Jeep Cherokee interior light?

There are several lamps that could be called "interior lights" on a 94 Cherokee. I assume you mean the Dome light. If so, simply pry off the plastic lense from the dome light housing to reveal the bulb. The bulb has a wire loop on each side that fits over a small metal tab in the socket. The bulb will pull straight down and out with a little tug. Take this bulb with you to Pep Boys etc. to help match up the replacement. The new bulb snaps onto the socket tabs with little pressure. Replace the plastic lense cover and your done. Other lights which you might be referring to are the transmission position indicator light (PRNDL) or the 4WD position indicator light, each of which are small bulbs accessed by prying up the console panels around those levers; or perhaps the console lights (which backlight your fuel guage, speedomter, etc) which can be accessed either by reaching up under the dash or by removing the dash trim (4 screws), and removing the console to reach the bulb sockets behind it. These sockets come out with a quarter turn to release their locking mechanism and pull straight out.
