How do you remove a step from an escalator?
Just do it!!! Just do it!!! There are several different ways to remove the steps from an escalator but the correct way is dependant on who manufactured the escalator and the type.An example is Otis RBC units. You can remove the steps, if you are a qualified mechanic and know how to lock it out, by finding the master step, removing the end treadboards, reach into the holes in the metal frame, lift the pin on each side of the step then push the sleeve axle bushings in toward the center. You should be able to then lift the step outside of the escalator.
Well, if your jeep was a soft top to begin with, the switches and wiring probably aren't there, but you should find an unused connector in the back under the rail that the top is bolted to.
Tracing those up front to where they would connect into the dash may be more difficult, and of course the switches won't be in the dash.
If it were me, I would run 2 fused power wires from 2 unused slots in the fuse panel to 2 new switches you buy from the auto parts store, then from the switches run 2 wires back to the connector ( or locate the ones that already run back there ) and you will be good to go.

How do you polish or wax the fenders on a jeep wrangler?
For the painted fenders, just as you would any other car, but I think you are asking about the black fender flares, use ant black trim treatmant that you would use on your Jeeps exterior or tires, they do become faded over time so perha[s that new black exterior treatment they are selling on television these days. I really like using the black ice or ICE line from Turtle wax, it seems to last longer than most for me.

Actually, you should use ATF+3 in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler rather than ATF+4. ATF+4 is actually recommended for 2001+ models but stick with ATF+3 for your 2000 model. AFT+4 in certain specific tests was shown to be incompatible with certain seal material. This incompatibility may cause a premature failure depending on the duty cycle of the vehicle. The fluid will work as intended however, it may cause a seal failure. Error on the side of caution and stick with ATF+3 as your owner's manual recommends. It's not worth paying $3,000 for a new tranny in a few years due to possible seal failures. (http://www.allpar.com/mopar/transmissions/fluids.html)
Edit: ATF+4 is entirely suitable and is actually a highly desireable replacement ATF for 2002 and older automatic transmissions like the 30RH and 32RH commonly seen in Jeep Wranglers. ATF+4 is 100% downward compatible with ATF+3 and is a superior replacement for ATF+3. ATF+4 is also better able to survive abnormally high transmission temperatures than ATF+3 is. ATF+3 was only specified for 2002 and older 30RH and 32RH transmissions simply because Jeep hadn't made the switch to ATF+3 yet. ATF+4 is also of course the recommended ATF for 2003 and newer Jeep automatic transmissions too.

One possibility is a brake caliper that has a broken or missing bolt.
Or something has broken inside the front axle.

Yes.. the body already has the mounting holes for the top. I originally bought my Jeep with soft top and then got a used hardtop. No issues - just be sure to remove the soft top mounting hardware.

Maybe a frozen brake caliper yes most definatley a frozen brake caliper or possibly a pebble or small rock lodged between the pad and the rotor. I had this same problem with my 93 YJ new brakes and it was good.
How many quarts of oil for 1994 Jeep Wrangler 6 cylinder and what weight oil?
I have a 1991 a 1992 and a 1993 jeep wranglers and all take 6 quarts of oil
with a new filter installed. I use 10-40 weight oil in all mine its good for all year
and all weather driving. Be sure to change every 3,000 to 4,000 miles if you love
your jeep like I do. Jeep people are the coolest but you have to not have a
problem with getting it dirty. Jeeps like dirt and mud.
