How long does an employer need to keep job applications on file in missiouri?
They can keep resumes for as long as they want, some toss is out right when they get it because they aren't hiring, as well some keep them for years just in case.
If you are a government contractor, or if you employ more than 50 individuals, you must comply with government Affirmative Action/EEO & Veterans laws. If this is the case, you have to keep resumes on file for the Department of Labor for at least 3(?) years. This is to ensure that if the DOL does an audit on your business, they can see that you are hiring a fair mix of ethnicities & sexes that apply for positions with your company.
If you hire an employee and then terminate them, you must keep their file with a properly filled out I-9 form, for at least 3 years after termination.

The question "Why are you a good fit for the job?" is often asked during job interviews, and the answer should be based on your individual strengths and experience rather than being a generic answer.
Here is an example of some generic things to say in an interview:
I feel I am the best fit for this job because I have a lot of experience in this area. I am a team player, very energetic, love to juggle multiple tasks, and I will go the extra mile to get the job done.

What are the shortcomings of interview in selection process?
"Interviewing" covers a wide range of complex situations, and there are pitfalls on all sides of the table. When the interview is in a setting in which an agency seeks to hire a new associate, then interviewers (and the committees to which they report) face the pitfall of choosing the wrong person, which can be a costly mistake. Candidates, on the other hand, face the pitfall of hearing a question that they had not anticipated. Neither of those particular pitfalls can be reduced to zero, but they can be minimized.
How can you resolve difficult problems?
* Workers' Participation in Management: The participation of workers in the management of the industrial unit should be encouraged by making effective use of works committees, joint consultation and other methods. This will improve communication between managers and workers, increase productivity and lead to greater effectiveness. * Mutual Accommodation. The employers must recognize the right of collective bargaining of the trade unions. In any organization, there must be a great emphasis on mutual accommodation rather than conflict or uncompromising attitude. One must clearly understand that conflicting attitude does not lead to amicable labor relations; it may foster union militancy as the union reacts by engaging in pressure tactics. The approach must be of mutual "give and take rather than "take or leave." The management should be willing to co-operate rather than blackmail the workers. * Sincere Implementation of Agreements. The management should sincerely implement the settlements reached with the trade unions. The agreements between the management and the unions should be enforced both in letter and spirit. If the agreements are not implemented then both the union and management stop trusting each other. An environment of uncertainty is created. To avoid this, efforts should be made at both ends to ensure the follow up of the agreements. * Sound Personnel Policies: The following points should be noted regarding the personnel policies. The policies should be: * ** Formulated in consultation with the workers and their representatives if they are to be implemented effectively. ** Clearly stated so that there is no confusion in the mind of anybody. ** Implementation of the policies should be uniform throughout the organization to ensure fair treatment to each worker. * Government's Role: The Government should play an active role for promoting industrial peace. It should make law for the compulsory recognition of a representative union in each industrial unit. It should intervene to settle disputes if the management and the workers are unable to settle their disputes. This will restore industrial harmony. * Progressive Outlook:There should be progressive outlook of the management of each industrial enterprise. It should be conscious of its obligations and responsibilities to the owners of the business, the employees, the consumers and the nation. The management must recognize the rights of workers to organize unions to protect their economic and social interests.

I looked at a recipe today and analysed the data relevant to what I had available as ingredients. Following that analysis I substituted a couple of ingredients and had a family member pick up non-substitutionable ingredients on the way home. Had I simply got stuck in to cooking I'd have found myself in trouble, discovering too late I couldn't continue owing to lack of provisions. So my analysis of data proved essential and highly productive under the circumstances.
