1st: There is very little that is not "possible" but there really isn't any reason for a potential conspirator to plan it that way - providing there ever was a conspiracy. 2nd: If there was more than one shooter in Dealey Plaza, we know that not only was Lee Harvey Oswald one of them, but also that Oswald was the only one that hit anything. 3rd: If there was a second shooter firing, he hit absolutely nothing. He not only missed JFK, he missed everyone else in the limousine, he missed the limousine itself, he missed all the crowd in the background, he missed all the buildings, trees shrubbery and absolutely positively everything else in the backshoot. 4th: In short, the second shooter left absolutely no evidence whatsoever that he ever existed. That's why there is no evidence of a conspiracy. 5th: Reiterating the 1st point, yes, it's "POSSIBLE" that a 1st shot fired was a signal to for follow on shot(s). It's just not in the least bit likely, nor is there any evidence for it, nor is it even a good idea to plan the conspiracy that way. I hope that helped.

You probably have something that was made outside of the mint, or is a regular half dollar that's had the dates added by a private company. That means it's an altered coin with no extra value beyond its metal content, which could be:

90% silver (1964)

40% silver (1965-70)

Copper-nickel (no added value, 1971-present)

It depends if it's in good shape. If it's in perfect condition, it's probably worth 20-50 dollars. All Kennedy half dollars have that mark. It's a stylized "GR", not an "X". "GR" are the initials of Gilroy Roberts, the coin's designer.

People too stupid to realize that the next election was in less than a year, so instead of risking their necks, they could just work against his re-election and see if that worked. If it didn't, *then* would be the time to move on him.

He inconvenienced the Russians with his Berlin Airlift, and by forcing them to stop using Cuba as a base for nuclear weapons.

He inconvenienced the Cubans by stupidly invading them while withholding the air support that success would require, thus causing a good many anti-Castro effectives to be killed or captured without accomplishing anything against Castro. He authorized several coup attempts on Castro; suspiciously enough, all were harebrained enough not to work. No "hire an angry Cuban expatriate (or a constant stream until success was achieved) and hand him a sniper rifle and getaway plans". No, we are talking about "poison in his scuba gear, exploding cigar", that sort of thing. Clearly, he did not actually want his fellow leftist in Cuba to actually be harmed.

But both the Russians and the Cubans were most unlikely to stick their necks in a nuclear noose by such a conspiracy. Castro was bright enough to realize the next President might not be a closet supporter. And the Russians knew that no Presidential replacement would be any less anti-Russian.
