Yes-located on the side of the head-fly wheel side. It is an unusual place but that is where it goes. There is a freeze plug there. Hit on one side with a drift punch and rotate the plug to where you can grab it with pliers and pull out. It is 35 MM in Diameter. The Katz 11422 400 watt heater (15 dollars on Amazon) is your best choice or buy a bobcat/kubota part for whole lot more.

I think you what you have is one oil filter and one fuel filter. The fuel filter is a spin on cartridge and looks similar to an oil filter. The oil filter is near the bottom of engine and the fuel filter is near the top (at least on my engine).

Why does Kubota mower bog down and smoke when on an angle?
The angle in which you are cutting is probably where the carburetor is on the downhill side. The oil in the sump tends to seek its on level in the same direction. Try mowng in the opposite direction where the carburetor is on the uphill side.

Strictly the transmission is "hydro driven" on a Kubota BX-series tractor. It is has a high and low range but speed is fully adjustable and controlled by a variable swashplate in the transmission. The mid and rear PTO's are gear driven by a wet hydraulic clutch pack. FWD is strictly gear driven from inside the transmission. Hope this helps.
Wider tires on smaller rims 13 inch tire on 11inch rims for farm tractor?
18.4 inch tractor tires are on 16 inch rims in most cases. I don't know what the limit would be I would think 13 inch on 11 inch rims would be fine. The hardest part would be to get it inflated if it is tubeless. There are tricks to that though.
Does the serial number give the year of tractor?
By having the number researched at your local John Deere dealer they can easily tell you the year for most tractors produced.

An S16 STP is a Chrysler filter. You should find this same filter for 90's Jeeps, Mini-vans, etc. Fram is PH16. Tech 2000 (Walmart) is ST16. Valuecraft (Autozone) is V16.
