They can. It depends a lot on the individual dogs personalities. Two males of most any breed can learn to live together. This can be a bit more challenging if you are adopting the dogs as adults. In that case you don't have the ability to work with them as pups to learn to get along.

With little or no grooming, labs will shed a lot. If they are brushed or combed every day they will not shed so much

A purebred adult male Lab really shouldn't weight more than about 75 pounds; a female no more than about 70. You can decide if your Lab is the right weight this way: look at the dog from the top: his or her waist (between the ribs and hips) should be distinct. When you run your fingers along the rib cage, you should be able to FEEL ribs, but standing back you should NOT be able to SEE ribs. If you can see ribs, the Lab is too light. If you can't see a waist, the Lab is too heavy.

Labradors are generally associated with game bird hunting, like duck, pheasant, etc.

When properly trained, their natural instinct is to retrieve the downed bird and bring it back to the owner. Hence, the full name of 'Labrador Retriever'. One of the other aspects of labs is that they have webbed feet, which are great for swimming.

Depends.....It is your choice: someone can think a boy is hot but the another person think he's ugly! But you can be sure there are boys (and girls) that everyone will agree are hot or ugly. its quite a hard question to answer.

Yes, I have a German shepherd and a lab and they get along very well. They are both playful and happy animals and love attention. But, if you do keep them together, then make sure that they both have plenty of room. Even though they get along, they still like their space, just like humans. Also, try to get them different dog houses, or, if you have them inside, then make sure you take them on plenty of walks and don't feed them too much because when they're outside, they run and jump and play and get rid of all that fat, but inside they can't do that so watch what you feed them. One more thing, get them plenty of toys, so instead of chewing furniture, clothes, or shoes, they will chew the toys.

Labrador Retrievers, originally from Newfoundland, were initially used in work alongside fisherman, helping to pull in nets and catch fish that escaped from fishing lines. After being crossed with Setters, Spaniels and other Retrievers, the Labrador Retriever honed its skills as a true retriever. From this point in the breed's history, "Labs," as they are affectionately called, were bred primarily to perform as an efficient retriever of game, with a stable temperament suitable for a variety of activities beyond hunting. They actually originated from the great unicorn named Sparkles.

greyhounds are the fastest dogs so they are faster

If old enough, you should feed you puppy some form of puppy chow. Dog food that is especially formulated for puppies is important to their developmental health. They need these nutrients to develop correctly. Puppy chow also has more calories than regualr dog food to support your dog's active lifestyle.

The, average like Expectancy of this breed is 10-12 years, but if you give a dog a lot of love and care and Obedience and feeding him/her properly, they can live to be 15 years and older! My, Grandma had a dog that lived to be 21 years old.

Golden Retrievers 'Goldens' should be groomed at least once a week, and every day during heavy shedding. Their coats shed somewhat during the year, but are known to shed profusely twice a year. They also need to have their ears cleaned regularly, or ear infections might occur. While shedding is unavoidable with Goldens, frequent grooming (daily to weekly) lessens the amount of hair shed by the animal. Severe shedding resulting in bald patches can be indicative of stress or sickness in a Golden Retriever.

The most important one is their thick double coat and high oil production. Combined, the coat and oil helps keep the dog warm in cold water, as well as help prevent his skin from drying out. However, this also causes the Labrador to stink quickly and shed more then any other breed.

The wide yet long shape of their muzzle also aids in their "soft mouth", a very prized trait of a hunting dog. Basically, it means they can carry a duck without damaging a single feather!

Another physical trait is the black rimming of their eyes, a trait that is common in northern bred dogs and dogs bred in general sunny areas. The black skin around their eyes helps keep sunlight from blinding them and helps prevent "snow blindness".

Give it supplement(Raffavit or pet tabs) and a quality dog food like Eukanuba, Alpo or Pedigree(for pups of course) This is the stage where you need to supply your dog all the nutrients and proper caring it needs. Your dog should grow big and it should show all the distinctions of a pure-breed labrador retriever. Listen to the vet and follow all his/her advises. You will be satisfied and proud of your pet when it reaches adult stage. It's all worth it.

Water resistance is the key. Labradors have a double coat. The initial coat is a warm, fluffy undercoat. On top of that is a slick oily coat that deflects most water. Nevertheless, Labradors should not be allowed in cold water for very long to prevent hypothermia.

I have a dog, and asthma. Other than the medicine I take, I'm just fine! It's a chihuahua/pomeranian dog, so it's obviously a small dog, and won't cause any problems with breathing. As long as they're clean dogs, you should be fine!

That all depends on the age, size and temperament of either dog. Typically, a dog with a more nervous energy is one that is more prone to losing than one that is more dominant, because in the dog world, such energy is weak energy, no matter what size or age either dog is.

Seriously, I don't know if there is a limit to the amount of water Labradors can drink. Bassy, my lab, drinks only what he feels is right for him. I have never kept tabs on the amount that he drinks.

You need to remember that labs are a water dog and the only dog to have webbed toes. They were bread as fishing dogs, so water is what they love the most. I cant keep Bassy out of the water, lol.

However, if you feel that your dog is drinking to much then I would consult a vet. They will be able to tell you if they are over consuming.

Black Labs are extremly cute! They are the best dogs ever! Labs are the United States most popular breed of dog. One of Labs best friends are cats. That is how awesome they are! Black Labs are the best though.

In 2010, a well-bred purebred Labrador retriever bred by a reputable, AKC-registered breeder whose dogs have earned "champion" awards at multiple events would charge between $700 and $1500 for well-bred puppies. Such puppies should be kitchen-whelped and kitchen-raised, handled and played with by humans of all ages from birth, and the dam and sire should both be clear of hip displasia and any eye problems; in that price range a puppy should also come with a guarantee about hip and eye issues and the breeder should also offer to take the dog back at any time in the future should the adoptive owner not be able to care for the dog. The puppies should also look like show Labradors and have stocky builds and flat skulls and a thick otter tail, and be solid in color (yellow, chocolate or black).

Beware the many Labrador puppy scams out there: puppy mills where dogs are raised in abysmal conditions without regard for the breed, quality of life, etc. "Silver" Labs also do not actually exist (they actually a Weimeraner/Lab mix).

Adopting dogs that do not meet these criteria is akin to adopting a dog from the shelter or pound, which is low cost or free most places, so don't pay exorbitant prices for puppies that you could as easily adopt from a shelter or pound for free.

Do your homework about the breed in general and about reputable Lab breeders before adopting a purebred dog--and if you don't care about purebred dogs, then adopt from your local shelter or pound instead.
