Labrador Retrievers

A pitbull would be physically stronger. Labradors are quite large, but they are not bred for the same physical qualities as a pitbull. Labradors are bred for retrieving game and companionship. Pitbulls are bred for catch-dog reasons. This requires greater physical strength as catch-dogs are sometimes used to take down cattle, hogs, and the like.

If you have a newborn or an elderly person in you household the flat-coated retriever will Be perfect. they are very easy to train and love water. Never let them loose off a leash unless you have trained them because they love to follow interesting scents. The black flat coats are usually healthier because liver(brown) flat coats tend to have bone problems. Flat coats also tend to shed. Over all flat-coated retrievers are very good pets and very rare

It depends if the lab or sharpei likes other dogs. if you have a lab just bring the shar pei along and see if they like each other if they dont take away the shar pei

The gestation period for all dogs is 9 weeks, no matter what size they are. You should be taking your dogs temperature twice a day from about day 58 on. When your dog's temperature dips drastically, the puppies will be born within 24 hours. A drastic dip is when the dogs temp dips from its normal 101F to about 98F.

Any... it depends on the parents' genes, not their coat colors. For example, two black labs could easily produce a litter that includes all three coats of black, chocolate, and yellow. Perhaps we could expect more black puppies than the other, as black is the main gene for each parent.

I have a 6 1/2 year old pit/hound mix and he's the best dog I've had in my 30+ years of dog ownership. He has the intelligence, strength, quickness and athleticism of a pit and the bark and nose of a hound. I've never had a more obedient easily trained dog. Under special circumstances it is possible - if the black female had the recessive gene for the yellow color and is bred to a yellow male with all-yellow gene background she could have at least some yellow pups in the litter.
