Did slaves build Stonehenge?

No-one knows for certain, but the most recent theory is that Stonehenge is a monument to the dead and that the people who built it actually wanted to build it and be part of the process in making a treasured monument. The most recent archaeological dig didn't find anything to indicate slaves built Stonehenge. However the 'most recent theory; is simply wrong, the Structure that everyone understands as Stonehenge wasn't even built at the time cremations were being casually inserted into the ditch and Aubrey holes of the earlier phase.

Well, at that time, the sewerage system had not yet been invented. For the royal family there were arrangements made though, they had special poop-chairs. It looked like chairs with a big hole in it, with a bucket underneath. For the rest of all the thousands inhabitants of Versailles, nothing was arranged. What are the areas that form the dansoman estate?

  • Akoko Photo ( Poultry Farm Junction)
  • 1st Stop
  • Poly Clinic
  • Post Office
  • Former GNTC Building next to Post Office
  • One Way system leading to the Crossroad on the left towards Zodiac Chemist/back to the One-way system towards Akoko Photo-Poultry farm; and on the right towards the first and maybe only Roundabout.
  • Zodiac Pharmacy
  • B. A Opoku Bar ( I do not know if it's still there)
  • Club 250 (near the Roundabout but do not know if it still there)
  • Dansoman's first and maybe only Roundabout )
  • Dansoman High Street (so called now and littered with all kinds of shops, stores, kiosk, Bars, Cafes, name it and you will find it).
  • The High Street leads to: Control Market, Tunga, Exhibition, last Stop etc.

These are what I remember 30 years ago without the littered High Street.

The then Dansoman Estate, was an aspiring charming, peaceful and growing Estate. It was thought to be far from any where and Visitors use to call the Estate, "Wo domia bra"; translated to mean: "come if you love/miss me"

The Estate was expanding as the then popular "STATE HOUSING CORPORATION" was steadily building more properties.

The Street names were "..... Links", all the Cul de Sacs, were named as "1st Close, 2nd Close, etc, the side roads were all named after Flowers and Trees.

The Estate gradually became popular with moderate affluent and genteel Residents. I was a teenager and loved living there.

I beleive it is now so densely populated, I am not surprised it is being described as the biggest Estate in West Africa. Obviously, lost it's charm.
