AMD currently uses the names ( in order from weakest to strongest) E2, A4, A6, A8, A10, FX4xxx, FX6xxx, and FX8xxx (higher number are better for the FX). Intel uses Atom, Celeron, Pentium, i3, i5, and i7. Intel is usually faster than AMD processors but it will only matter if you need high performance.
