I don't think this problem is related to a virus, most likely this is a hardware relate issue.

Here are some troubleshooting tips.

Test your laptop with an external monitor attached to the VGA port. If the external video is working fine then most likely there is nothing wrong with the motherboard or video card and the problem is somewhere inside the laptop display panel. Most likely you have a bad LCD screen.

I doubt that this problem is related to the video cable because when you have a bad video cable it affects video on the whole screen, not just on the part of the screen.

I guess you'll have to replace the laptop screen.

Plug the phone line into the phone line receptacle in the back.

It is possible that when the liquid got into the keyboard, it actually got into much more. It is possible that the liquid got into the computers circuits and shorted them out. Depending on how you cleaned the liquid up, the way you cleaned might also have damaged the computer.

My Latitude 13 just died, and I have been asking the same question. Dell used a Samsung SSD, PM800 64 GB drive, but when you look inside your Latitude 13 it looks more like a mSATA with an adapter. I ordered an mSATA, that is even smaller, not the same.

The best I can tell Samsung simply made a 2.5 SSD drive, but instead of putting a full metal case on it, which weighs a bit, they simply built a super-light little frame to screw the PC board to. The computer has a bay big enough to fit any standard 2.5 SSD.
