Henry Plummer About a year after his arrival in California, documents show that he owned a ranch and a mine outside Nevada City, California. Some twelve months later, he traded some of his mining shares for the Empire Bakery in Nevada City. By 1856, the local residents, so impressed by the young man, persuaded him to run for sheriff. At the age of 24, he became marshal of the third largest settlement in California. The young marshal was well liked by the Nevada City citizens and respected for his promptness and boldness in handling his duties. He easily won the re-election in 1857. But, shortly after the election, he killed his first man. At the time, Henry was said to be having an affair with the wife of a miner by the name of John Vedder and when he was confronted by the angry husband, the two competed in a dual, for which, Henry obviously won. Plummer was arrested and tried in a sensational, emotionally-charged case that went twice to the California Supreme Court before he was finally convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to ten years in California's infamous San Quentin Prison. He began to serve his sentence on February 22, 1859 and local residents quickly petitioned the Governor for a pardon, claiming that Henry had acted in self-defense. Among his comrades behind bars was Cyrus Skinner, serving time for grand larceny, who would later be connected with Plummer again. Plummer served time only until August 16, 1859 when he was released due to his tuberculosis and pressure on the Governor by the petition. Awhile after he gathered a vigilante group which they calle "The Innocents." They would go around the town robbing and killing people because they were looking for money. But on January 10th, 1862 he was hung in the very gallows of the place he ordered built only a few days earlier.

I would start by taking a rest and getting your mind and brain ready. Then i would categorize which papers need to be done first. once you've done the work that is very crucial to be done, start with what you know and add a little of the difficult ones. then you would be able to do the difficult papers and not think of it as difficult but easy.

Active listening means that you focus more on what is being said and reflect it back so you know you have it right. It's a good technique for a trainer so the trainer can judge where the student is and help them learn more.

Guessing what's coming up is a good way to become a better reader. It keeps you focused on what you're reading and helps you to understand what you have read. It also keeps you interested in reading further, and practice makes perfect, so the more you read, the better you will be able to read.

Best advice: do your homework, and you don't have to worry about hiding the fact that you didn't do it. Instead of putting your efforts into not doing your homework, you could put your efforts into actually doing it. It's much better for you in the long run. Homework may be tedious at times, but hey, that's life.

If you don't memorize them, you won't be able to do simple mathematical calculations that you will need later in life, such as for balancing your bank account or figuring out how much of a tip to leave at a restaurant -- or even for figuring out if you got charged the right amount of money or paid the right amount!

interpolate means to look at the information given and see what information you need and extrapolate means like say if i had one apple and ate half, how much apple would i have left? i suppose that's extrapolating. or if you had a graph you could say what would it be if it was 30 not 20 and follow the pattern.
