I am a 15 year old boy and have been wearing acrylic nails since my 11th birthday. I really love them my nails are currently an inch and a quarter long and painted a deep red. Now, makeup: Since you're still only 12, I'd just use lipstick, mascara and powder. Go to a department store cosmetics counter and get a lipstick that adds just a little bit of color to your lips; most people say "lip gloss" and you can try that too, but lipstick keeps the sun off your lips so it's better.

You have to remove it and apply a new one. Acrylic nails really aren't repairable.
