The problem could be the starter. It's tough to say without seeing the car. The best option would be to bring it to a mechanic, who could correctly diagnose the problem.

How do you change the speed sensor 1997 mercury mystique?

easiest way is to take it to a transmission place. trick is to pretend that you know (unless you actually DO know) exactly what problem is and tell them to fix only that! obviously they will try to tell you its this. or its that. not more than 3 days ago i had to get the speed sensor done and they tried telling me my tranny has internal probs and they want 1800 to 2200 dollars to fix it. as it was they charged me 250.00 to fix speed sensor and that fixed everything. DO NOT go in and let them know that you are unknowledged. they will F$$#CK YOU at any chance they get. (unless you know a good mechanic, there are some out there)

It's really close where the shift cable is. So look for the shift cable (you can see from the top) Look for the axle (from under the car) it is right there on that area. (you can only see it from under though)

Turn signal stops flashing?

If your turn signal has stopped flashing, it may be due to a burned-out bulb, a faulty relay, or an electrical issue. Check the bulbs first to see if they need replacement, as a single burned-out bulb can disrupt the entire circuit. If the bulbs are functioning, inspect the relay and wiring for any faults. If you're unable to identify the problem, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic for further diagnosis.
